I would have thought that if you could edge by yourself, you could edge with a partner

Just the sex in general haha. It’s like I build it up to the very brim then when I enter her, it doesn’t take barely any stimulation at all.

But you see what I mean, right? My experience and skill with edging sucks so I don't know what I'm talking about. How is it that you can edge yourself alone but can't edge yourself with a partner? Isn't the whole thing about having the control to edge up to the edge but not cross it? How does being with the partner cause you to lose that control?
