So as of right now I'm thinking this is the direction I'm going to go with my life. I want to go back to college And finish up getting my major in music production And what I wanting to do is Either get my minor in Audio engineering or Something to do with film On top of my Music production major. I want to either become a musician And make music such as techno or rap, Dubstep, grime or lounge music And maybe later on down the road own my own record company It doesn't have anything big but at least it's like somewhere in the middle of the road. Or I want to become a professional male Dom Once I've had a little bit of experience and I'm at least like 25 Or so. If I was to get into doing this how to do it and What should I do to keep myself safe and whatever legally. How much the charge.. What I was thinking was that I could start by Beginning to build up a collection of kinky Devices masks and such By buying them a few here and there from the Internet now. And want to move in with penthouse I will start to buy furniture and like actually 5 inch things stressful into more changes stuff like that. And I might possibly either go to people's houses or do it from my own or rent a space what do you think it be the best idea There?

If you go back to school, I urge you to take a basic writing class! I rarely snark, here, about grammar, but your post made my red pencil weep.

And (scrolling through threads) I thought you wanted to go to a Domme? Are you that balanced a switch? (Or just a horny, confused guy)

You realize your clients are going to be largely not hot males? Women rarely pay for sexual/sensual experiences. This said, there's definitely a need for/market for male Doms and if you're flexible, crossdressing Mistresses.

I'm just checking. If you do, rock on. I'd start by approaching an existing dungeon to see if the ladies need or want a guy to double up with on a session or two to start - if things really rock for you, join the house, let them promote you, safety in numbers, don't strike out on your own for a while. Don't do outcall for a while either, really learn to screen and play with clients.

that's a great entrance to see if it's for you. Don't do this instead of school, no way, MAYBE treat it as book money before you decide anything. Think about phone and cam, instead of or in addition to. Legal, safe, and you never have to leave the house or buy shit tons of gear!

If you do become a music person, this is a good way to support your creative work, it IS possible to do that, but it's not something that works quickly and you need to be as dedicated to both businesses.

Not so much gay as secretly bi married dudes, most likely.

Exactly. Fugly ????? men, sometimes less so. Once in a while eye candy! But dudes. Women rarely RARELY pay for it. Couples sometimes - SOMEtimes. and periodically a homely or really busy woman on a rare day, think once a decade.

And you have to be eye candy and skilled. Or REALLY skilled and at least pleasant to look at and different in some way.

So fugly gay men eh...?

If you're getting into this to get paid to top or fuck pretty things of any gender, you're barking up the wrong tree. Go into this with the assumption that you're not going to find most of your clients attractive.

And yeah. I've got a friend whose been doing sex work for about a year now, and she gets inundated with messages from dudes complaining that they can't make money from sex work. Her response? Of course they can, they just have to not be so stuck up and scared of dealing with other men.

Ya I'm fine with every thing just I wouldn't do fisting or excrament (if I even spelled that right)... So your saying if I'm not good looking then its completely a no go... Because I wount say I'm like a male model or anything but I would say I'm like a 4.5 or a 5 as far as looks go... All I would do first is loose like 10 more pounds, but with that being said it doesn't mean I'm in any way "fat" I'm just like 15 lbs over weight....

Nah, you don't have to be a model to attract a male clientele. For women? You probably would, and even then, you probably couldn't expect many takers.

If you don't mind pro-Domming men, the best thing to do is to have a decently wide range of things you're willing to do (which it sounds like you do), but to "specialize" in two or three of them. These would be the things you're best at and would advertise heavily.

Disclaimer: I have never done real-time pro domination, only phone. I do, however, do marketing for other girls. Some do phone and online stuff, some webcam work, and some real-time work. Where and how you ply your craft don't matter that much when it comes to marketing yourself.

Heh. I have a friend who tops men-- he isn't anything great to look at, and he, too is a few pounds over and has a soft tummy-- but that never seems to slow down the guys. What they want from him is his expertise and his attention.

It really is not about looks, Kingem. 4.5? you're fine.

My first thought when I saw this thread was, the market's so oversaturated with male doms why would anyone need to pay one? But I suppose that's thinking in a het-centric way, maybe there is a market of gay and bi guys looking to get dominated by a man. I would definitely give some testing a shot by say, camming for pay, really rounding out your writing and seeing if you can get people hot and bothered with some good ol' writing... feel out what people are looking for, and balance that with whatever you specialize in.

Professional domination isn't a cheap startup, you have to invest into it like any small business. Keep that in mind, it's not an easy fun out.

You're fine, just be reasonable and work what you've got. I'm not a sylph and I did fine. Even in the fat phobic NYC market. The less of your look there is, the more they'll look for you.

I'm not being ruthlessly lookist about it, but it is sex work, you have to be sexy to a solid handful of people. This said, a lot of people like different things, it's not like you have to be a Ford model.

I'd pay close attention to BiBunny and Netzach on this.

Having worked in the industry myself (not BDSM, just straight pro work) you need to realise you're not just selling an image, you're selling a skill.

It's no good having solid ten looks and level one skills, especially when it comes to pro dom work. Take a look at your local BDSm community and you'll find the dom/mes in highest demand aren't necessarily the best looking, but the ones with the highest skill set and care factor.
You need to learn useful things like how to tie knots and use a flogger etc, depending on what kind of domination work you want to do.
I'd suggest finding a Mistress or Dom to mentor you instead of just fumbling through it, hoping for the best.

It's not a reliable, quick buck market. If you're doing it thinking you're going to be rolling in cash in a week, sorry but it's not going to happen.

It's not an entirely pleasant industry and I can honestly say I had to work harder (no pun intended) as a pro than almost any other job I've ever had.

And bottom line, if you don't enjoy at least some aspect of the work, I don't advise doing it all. Sex just for money isn't enough.

So your saying it like being a masuse with good hands vs being a male model who's a little bit rough...

I'd also like to be a professional male Dom for hot rich nubiles, to be a rock star making gold records, and I think I'd also like to be the first man to land on the Sun. I'd also like a pony and a kitty, my own line of luggage & perfume, to own a chain of successful bottomless bars, the ability to metabolize heroin without any ill effects, and the power to dance like Fred Astaire.

I don't quite get your point. Perhaps a few more examples?
