Transparencies?
How "old school"!

Now where's my slide pojectur?
I have a light table (which is actually quite heavy).
hey I wish I had a light table. I am playing with paper embossing for my christmas cards and a light table would make it sooo much easier.

do you remember using a "lucy" at school?

I got this particular Light table at a garage sale ("tag sale" some might call it)
it originallt belonged to Ford Motor Company. It's cool, a wooden monstrosity.

I have, more than once taped paper to windows, or had a sheet of plexi on my lap and a lamp on the floor.

I have never used a Lucy, but I know what one is... a projector of a vague and fuzzy image!
hmmm. our lucigraph (lucy) was a tall metal box. It had a shelf down below that was lighted and a curtained glass surface about chest height (depending on your height) the image was projected onto to glass and we could enlarge and reduce the image and trace it.

yep I am doing the window thing now. :D

G'morning everyone. I see T-man, kittyn and Cealy and tulip.

Hi all. anyone bring donuts?

I've built light tables. kind of like drafting tables except with an opaque Plexiglas area on the top and four flouresent bulbs underneath it. you could adjust the angle of the table top from flat all the up to about sixty degrees. Added a strip cove molding at the bottom to hold pencils. Fun projects.

That's what this one is... BUT HEAVY. Plate glass, and solid wood... heavy steel hardware.

Well if you ever need to make one or buy one, I still have the plans. I think the ones I designed were modeled after something like yours.
