Thoughts on avatars

I turned them on for a look see.

Then I saw someone's av and that seriously bothered me. Does anyone else think that particular someone's av is fucking inappropriate? There may a basis in reality for little boys to be looking up a woman's skirt. There is also a basis in reality for grown men to sexually torture teenaged boys and women to death and consume their remains. Neither image is fit for glorification.

Are there guidelines for appropriateness?

I find them generally distracting and the pre-dispose me to whatever the poster is saying. Take cym's for example. I personally think only a fucking idiot would allow themselves to be tied up like that. Cym is not a fucking idiot.

When I first posted this av, I got a question from Todd on wether or not it had implications of child porn!!!! I'm sorry, I don't see it.

I kind of had the same thoughts that have been expressed here, that it looked like a slightly kinky "Rockwell".

I've had some thoughts of looking for another Av, but now I don't really want to change until after Vegas so everyone will recognize the av as that is, as I understand it, going to be our name tags.
I looked for a couple of afternoons for soemthing I liked as well as what I had. But I want something that has a little whimsy to it, not just blatant sex. I'm a flirt, but I'm a harmless old flirt and I would like to find something for an av that says a little about me.

The little boy is kind of the boy in all us guys who would like to sneek a peek if he thinks he can get away with it. But I will keep looking and sometime soon, I'll find something. Til then, please accept my appoligy if my av offends you.

I agree with the majority here. I think it is harmless fun. It reminds me of the movie Splash when John Candy kept dropping change to sneak a peak. I am like Willy in that I am just a harmless old flirt.
