This thread is going to the dogs...

OK well now I'm just screwed ...

Yikes! What the f**k was I thinking!......It's okay, I got it turned off just in time. Dayum, I'm getting too feeble minded to have explosives around ...could have blown both of us up the way I had it rigged...sorry for the scare, old buddy

I am sweet, those that love me tell me - Though I tell them they are wrong- . But I believe in ethical meat rearing and eating.

A quote for 'elle' :

It is told that Buddha, going out to look on life, was greatly daunted by death. 'They all eat one another!' he cried, and called it evil. This process I examined, changed the verb, and said, 'They all feed one another,' and called it good. - Charlotte Perkins Gilman

We all survive by the taking of another life. Even though I am a vegetarian, I also believe that every life form is sacred and comes from the Source of Life. Thus, when I cut the celery I cut the life from the plant. It is the way it was created to be. Let us be thankful we have food and life. Perhaps like the saying; Love and do what you will...we can say; Be Thankful and eat what you will... :rose:

Now just think back to all those times you've prepared food and implant a loud shrieking voice into the memory...

So much this. Thank you.

I admire anyone who makes ethical food choices, I do too, and I realise we come to our conclusions differently.

Bhudda for me got something very correct in that quote ' each other' . I see myself as animal and part of the animal kingdom, enabled to make some choices other and in a world skewed to my advantage now but not 'other'. I am aware I eat my cousins, and I do so with gratitude, compassion without every day indulgence and with awareness and 'ownership' . My alternative would be veganism.

Ummmm.... you eat your cousins?
:p
