The "Good Will" you and other DumOZ speak of is a myth

Born of mostly TWO incidents

1- The famous Le Monde editorial, "We are all Americans, now" problem is no one bothered to actually read what the editorial said. What they said was America now realizes that we have to BE NICE to everyone or we will be attacked. They talked of APPEASEMENT. It wasnt good will, it was chastisment of the US adn our policies and telling us to "be nice" to terrorists!

and

2- NATO's announcement that they invoked Article V, which in effect said and attack on one member was an attack on all. I recall UNCLE TOM (peter principle) Powell boldly telling us how GREAT that was. What it really was, and France and Belgium quickly said LOUDLY and OFTEN forced the US to seek ADVICE and CONSENT of all of NATO before we did anything. In other words we would be hamstrung. We didnt follow that! thank G-D

So in fact, the GOOD WILL was BULL SHIT!

The French for instance REFUSED to obey any command by the Supreme Commander and initiated no combat at all. Often in fact they INHIBITED our soldiers in their effort to go after the Taliban. Same with germany!

About the ONLY countries that were any use was Britian, Canada and Australia!

Why we still pretend France is of ANY FUCKING USE to us or an ALLY of ours is beuyond me!
