Without dignifying that, the central point is that Kerry, while not nearly as adept at the sliming and smearing that passes for politics in your country as some, is not so politically retarded as to say something that anti-military before the election. You can think him the lowest scum in the world if you want but that would just be a case of jaw dropping idiocy.

His refusal to apologize, I think, further illustrates what he was saying.

I don't think that Kerry dislikes the military, though a case can be built through some of his statements, that he has no respect for the military.

However, in this instance, it was a clear fuckup.
