This is to Lurkers who want to change thier status but are afraid

Perky? Perhaps you'll consider going to begin another thread, you own thread, if you will.

You've got way too many pics of your potential avs for this one, okay? This thread was supposed to be a newbie comfort station, not a perky-potential-av art gallery. Thanks, hon.

HEYYYY!!!!!

I thought I was the frickin' newbie, and boy do I feel comforted now.

I'd put my tail between my legs and slink off, but not my style...I will however, be posting elsewhere.....and thanks for your support sugah, it was great for a moment.

You've never lurked in your life, Guru.
Anywhere.
~amused~
And i think there's a statute of limitations on lurking, anyway.

Got pics of your cock? All the newbie American men have to post them, you know. If you're shorter than 11" then you'll have to stop posting here cuz everyone knows, if they read ANY of our stories, that all American men have at least 11" cocks. We can't have you downing our stellar average. European men (and the few Americans who cheerfully owned up to micro-penises from the beginning) are exempt from this requirement as everyone knows they have little dicks anyway.
;)

Mr. Happy doesn't meet Cymbidia's requirements. Mr. Happy isn't very happy right now. Not European either...

It's alright, Mr. Happy - she's just kidding.

SEE CYMBIDIA - YOU GOT HIM ALL DEPRESSED! Say you're sorry ;)

I prefer face-to-face discussions, ummmm, eye-to-eye in this case. Please bring Mr. Happy out so we can speak together in such an manner. I'm sure Mr Happy will be content with the outcome of our meeting; one has to use one's tongue in an especially facile manner, after all, when carrying on in that way, doesn't one?

Er uh, er uh, um um, er uh, nah, that's alright.

Uh... Mr. Happy - no! We don't want to do this! GEEZ... it really sucks when the little head thinks for the big one! ;)

On a more serious note, I hope I didn't offend. Its my night off work - usually I don't get much sleep on my nights off, so I end up acting a little silly. :p

Some PM and e-mail suggestions

hehehe, you crack me up Cym

Ok, my offering to newbies is concerning PM's and e-mail.
Most of us enjoy getting both, however, our "Lit. family" is a very diverse group. We all have different tastes and lifestyles. Please get to "know" us before sending an invitation that might not be well received.
Use your profiles. Speaking for myself, when I get a message from someone I do not know, I always read their profile. There is a link in each person's profile that searches for the posts by that individual. I also read that, so that I can know something about the person before responding to their message.
It isn't necessary to write an autobiography, just tell us a bit about yourself. Important! If your handle doesn't reflect your gender, please make clear whether you are male or female!

You made me giggle.
I'm *still* giggling.
:D

*Bows* Well, I'm glad I could put a smile on your face... :)

Anyway - I've got to get some sleep! Lay me little feathered head down and catch some Z's.

Catch you all later.

Welllll, okay, then I will....

I just joined a few days ago and posted a couple of stories.

There's so much to learn here! The site is huge and I've enjoyed reading the various posts on the forums. I read a couple where people wondered about the low ratio of votes to readers, but I write fan fiction, too, and quite frankly, it's not much different there. You get a lot of readers, but not much feedback.

What's fun, though, is when you introduce yourself to someone and they smile and say "Oh, I've read your stuff!"

Okay, so now I've posted. Can I lose that oh-so-annoying "virgin" status now? Those who know me would howl with laughter over that...

29??!! Well, damn!

(Heh, heh - well, that's 2, at least. I promise to be more creative in the future, though...)

diving in

I've long been a member of the "lurking" crowd and have throughly enjoyed reading the threads, getting to know the people and seeing what a "family" you all can be. So, after reading all of the encouragements on this thread, I'm diving in and trying to post on one thread a day. I know that that doesn't sound like alot; but, for me, it's major. Hey, everyone; you have a new sister.

Would you prefer a seat in whining or non-whining?

Yo, cym! It's working... you've drawn some out of the underbrush. Um... or wherever it is they lurk. Metaphorically I think you've taken a metric boatload of cherries by launching this thread.

And welcome, stargazer, nice to see you step into the light. Your table will be ready in a moment, the busMarxist is just cleaning it now...

Hello Sister Stargazer... (Gee - why do I feel like I'm in a 60's holyroller club?;)) How are you doing?

Hey Black_Bird! I'm doing fine. I actually am enjoying this posting stuff and am looking forward to getting to know each of you guys. I think that this will be therapeutic. I'm pretty much of a wall-flower. I love to people watch. On Lit I can interact and still be anonymous!

Now there's a scary notion. How does one choose?

More importantly - there's a no-whining section? Why wasn't I invited? *whine* ;)

Yeh. I know. Unfortunately (though it's sorta titillating on some level, don't you think?), we all get to be virgins again here. Sort of a rite of passage. Relax and enjoy it, Lady. Maybe, at least, you'll have more fun losing your virginity this time than you did the first time.

Buenos noches, mi hermosa! And welcome.
I am already awash with admiration over your proper use of semi-colons.
