The Ivory-Billed Woodpecker has been sighted recently after being declared extinct--maybe there are some Tasmanian Tiger's out there somewhere.

They were the biggest carnivorous marsupial. Last one seen alive (probably the one in the vid) was in 1922.
There's talk they might not be extinct - wishful thinking most like, but the wilds of Tasmania are very wild, so it's remotely possible.
