Ladies: How do you have sex while on your period? How do you prepare for it, etc. so it isn't so gross and messy?

Gents: How do you handle the situation if you want to and your lady is on her period? Does it gross you out? Do you concentrate on other things?

Well as a lady, I'd say you do it just the same way as other times, except grab a towel and put it under you. Or jump in the shower and do it under the spray.

Personally it doesn't bother me to do it during that time of the month, but if I think it's going to gross out a partner I'll warn him
beforehand.

Is it messy? It can be... especially if things are really flowing.

Gross? Well that's all opinion. What's disgusting to one person may look delicious to another.

As far as sex (during that time) goes... there are other things that give as much pleasure as being penetrated... so sex isn't totally necessary for satisfaction. There's a lot to be said for anticipation. A week of build up makes for an incredible orgasm. And if you're GF is giving... she shouldn't mind taking care of you in other ways... especially if she's averse to the mess.

Just a tip though... if you EXPECT her to suck you off, in lieu of sex she's more than likely not going to be as eager to please. If it's about both of you guys' pleasure I'm sure things can go really smoothly.

This time is one of the best! Don't have to worry about getting pregnant and already about as wet as you can get! LOL! It does help cramps too....I'd have to say the one big downfall is if it's really flowing and you've been at it for a while it gets kinda sticky when it starts to dry....and that's usually on his balls and in your pubes (if you don't shave).

I've been told that it is much warmer, and wetter, and a more silky feeling than any other time. I know that as a woman, I LOVE it when my man has sex with me at that time. The hormones are raging, my body is ultra sensitive, and my desire increases tenfold!

Mess? That is why God created showers. Use a towel. A little mess never hurt anybody.

And is there a way to make it end faster? First, you don't seem like a complete idiot for asking that...I think it's a good question.

Hmmm...sex, that works for me. If I have a few really good orgasms, my period ends a whole day early. I don't know if there is a medical reason for this, but it is a consistent thing with me. Otherwise, I can't think of anything...but I would like to know the answer to that, too.

Seeing as how this is her time of the month, I would generally tend to let her lead a little more. She knows her body & its flow a little more so I just follow her lead as to what's comfortable. As far as being gross... NAH! Actually it saves a bundle in Astroglide, KY and all those other lubes! A woman's period, to me is not something I think should be shunned or have a stigma attached to it; it's part of the human physiolology...accept it! Water's cheap & I have a washer & dryer for towels if need be so clean up is never a big issue.

And as far as concentrating on other things...ooooo! There's already so many other things to concentrate on- where do I begin??

I've been surprized at how guys are not turned off by it.

If you don't want a mess play with a tampon in. If you want to fuck without the mess try the other avenue. Slowly and gently.

Otherwise just have fun and take a shower after.

For me, if it is at the beginning of my period, it's a no go. At least vaginally. But then, that's why God gave us a second hole, right?

Seriously, my periods are rather short - around 3-4 days, and the day I begin is not a day that I really want to be touched or anything. That only leaves maybe one day to deal with. Besides, my body becomes more sensitive and I become more easily aroused during the week before my period starts. Once it begins, the first few days, my libido takes a real dip. I would blow a partner, but would not be concerned about my own pleasure at all.

As for red wings? Absolutely not! The last thing I want to see is some guy between my thighs with blood all over his face. Look like he's been eating raw meat. No thanks.

Now, if my partner really wants to have sex and it is the first 2 days, then I simply insert a diaphram I have. Keeps the flow and I feel better about the whole thing.

I spent my whole life thinking I was "dirty" when I was menstruating.....because of my mother's attitude first and then my husband's. Then I left him and found my wonderful lover. When we first met up (we are in a LDR) I told him that my period was due at the end of the week we'd be together and he said it didn't matter, that he loved me all the time not part time........

We've been together a few times now when I was menstruating, we put a towel down or if it's really heavy I leave a tampon in and we just play I admit I was embarrassed about it at first, especially when we ended up covered in blood, but he really isn't bothered by it so I've learned to relax more. well after a few amusing times flinging blood around someone else's bathroom you get the hang of it. The shower is always a good place to remove them if you are worried. You should also rinse them before throwing them away.

The Instead doo-hickeys can be found at 'most every US grocery-type store. I've seen 'em at King Soopers, Wal-Mart, etc.

However, they dont' work for all women -- one is myself. Couldn't get the hang of getting 'em put in quite right...


And from what I've gathered, my hubby enjoys sex when I'm on my period... he says it's warmer and slicker than "normal"... so, it's your perogative whether you want to or not!
