Things you can't get wherever you are.

Perhaps I should have titled this thread thusly:

Things I have that you can't get wherever you are.

The title was confusing.
I wasn't sure if you were looking for things you couldn't always have, or things you had at home but couldn't get while away.

Does my confusion make sense?
Im a dope tonight

It does.

I've never been downtown NYC. I'll do it someday.

For the purposes of visiting, a distinction need not be made as to downtown NYC versus the rest of of the island, unless you've made it to NYC, but not downtown.

NYC...It's sensory overload the first time you visit.

I got sensory overload driving across Staten Island back when the landfill was still accepting waste. At the time, it was the largest man-made structure on earth. And it reeked.

I can only imagine the stench.
We have similiar land fills along I-55 and other highways into the city here in Chicago. On some days, when the wind is blowing the wrong way, it's unbearable as you drive by.

I was on the way from McGuire AFB to Hanover, NH. I didn't have time to stop.

Now you add something from your back yard that I wouldn't have.

ok, how about this?

I see your tall buildings and raise you whitewater.

I've spent a day in your city. It was chilly with the wind off the lake in the end of October. Good pizza.

Proof positive that civil engineering 101 is still on point. Shit flows downhill.

It definitely gets cold here. We had a gorgeous October this year. More 70 degre days then I can ever remember for that month.

Our Pizza is the best! I think east coasters will balk at that statement, though. But they don't know what they're talking about ;)
