Things you can't get wherever you are.

It definitely gets cold here. We had a gorgeous October this year. More 70 degre days then I can ever remember for that month.

Our Pizza is the best! I think east coasters will balk at that statement, though. But they don't know what they're talking about ;)

Not a mention of Lawry's. Go spank yourself, or not, whichever is the worst punishment.

Pizza has many styles, many which are damn tasty.

That's true, Thor. Ask any New Yorker. They'll tell you their pizza blows Boston's away. Bostonians only hate one thing more than NY Pizza...and that's the Yankees :)

Lawry's does one thing, and they do it well.

Won't argue about G&G's, probably as good as you say. But it's a general fare joint.

G&G is an Italian Steakhouse, Ish. there's nothing like it. It's a legendary Chicago Haunt.

I do have a soft spot in my heart for Lawry's tho. It was one of the first big downtown dates I went on when in High School.

My memories of swimming off the empty beaches of Southern Spain in the early 1950s.

Every one of those beaches is now backed by hotels and bars.

Wasn't the old Ditka's around the corner from G&G's?

Besides the Prime Rib Lawry's has one hell of a wine cellar.

No, Ditka's is up by Water Tower.
He was very unhappy when Chicago passed the no smoking law. He had a nice cigar bar in his restaurant.

I understand, but the original was not where it is now. Something is tickling at my memory about the original burning down.

I remember that as a kid in Hawaii in the 70's and 80's. So much development now. The Kona side of the Big Island used to have two traffic lights and no airport. We'd have to drive around the whole island from Hilo or use the Saddle Road to cut across though lava fields.

I think something needs to be established here. The only true pizza comes out of Chicago and surrounding areas. People on either coast are blissfully unaware of their ignorance on this matter and any opinions they give should be politely ignored.

I hear that a lot but I must of been to all the wrong pizza shops because I thought they sucked.

Breaded, deep fried gator on a stick.

...not that it's a bad thing that you can't get this most places.

I find it funny that people from Chicago still think that they have the best pizza. I'll grant you that you have the best hot dogs, but nowhere in this reality do you have the best pizza.

Call somebody who cares.

Oh, that's right. You cell phone does not work without accurate time.

So sorry!

Enjoy your pie.
