Things that piss you off?

Men who wear socks while making love.

I've been known to wear socks. MrB hates my cold feet.

And sometimes they're white...My favorite is passion purple.

WPMO is whatever the thing was that was making so much noise this morning from the rain storm that woke me up at 6 am. I'm glad I got back to sleep, but it ruined this amazing dream I was having.... and that really ticks me off.

Ummmm...traction?

personally, i don't need traction. i've perfected the art of friction-free perpetual motion. in fact, my hips are still moving from the last time i had sex... 7 years ago.

LMAO!

When I read this, I got a visual of one of those stainless steel perpetual motion thingamabobs that sit on your desk. Of course, my vision is on an X-rated one.

Thanks for the spike in my sf today EJ! ;)

.... Oh yeah....this afternoon I saw him zonked out on the couch....so I went over and started panting real loud next to his ear. He woke up, turned away and went back to sleep. At least it made me feel better for about 10 seconds.
LMAO!!!!!!!

:D i can SO visualize this... except in my vision you're wearing a pith helmet and sitting in a canoe, 'cause that's the only image of you i have. lol.

This flu just won't go away. :(

Looking on the bright side... I've lost about 8 lbs. because of it.

My dog....the older one, has been pissing me off bigtime at night. He sleeps in a crate in our bedroom, and has been for years since he's very insecure. lately he has started panting in the middle of the night, not because he's hot (it's usually 55 to 60 in our bedroom), but he's purposely trying to wake us up; I can tell because when there is moonlight shining in the room I can see he's sitting up and looking directly at ME.

He started doing it at around 5:30 am a few weeks ago, which was no big deal since we usually get up around 5:45 to 6. But the last two weeks it's been earlier and earlier, the last 2 nights it's been at 1 or 2 am. And he'll do it for a long time. My wife mostly sleeps through it, but it wakes me up immediately, and my blood starts to boil. This morning I finally got up at around 3:30 and booted his ass out the door (outside). When he came back in I made him lay on the living room floor (god forbid....the floor).

I'm already starting to get pissed off about tonight. I think I'm gonna try moving him out into the hall. Hopefully he won't start yelping like if someone was cutting his leg off.

Oh yeah....this afternoon I saw him zonked out on the couch....so I went over and started panting real loud next to his ear. He woke up, turned away and went back to sleep. At least it made me feel better for about 10 seconds.

This made me laugh - do hope you don't mind. My Brittany use to stand over me in the bed to get me up when she was ready.....oh the joys of being owned by a dog!

But a side note - could he by chance be having a bladder problem and have to go out?

I work at home so I am very familiar with his daytime schedule. During the day he'll sleep for hours on end without needing to go out to do his thing (light bulb goes off in head....maybe he could use more exercise).
that sounds like a good guess, wag. it certainly couldn't hurt... maybe take him for a walk or two during the day or play with him for a few minutes.

this behavior would mystify me too... i hope you get it resolved. dogs can be so hard to read because they hide so much of their physical and emotional discomfort. so when something like this DOES manifest itself it really makes you wonder.

I think I need to take him out for longer than the 10 minute jaunts we do several times a day. I'll have to start scheduling some time for this otherwise it probably won't happen.

Is there a dog park or something like that in the area? I dont know what the leash laws are where you live or if you have a yard or anything, but the dog park thing really helped my nephew's dog calm down a lot and listen better. The dog gets to run around and play with other dogs in a pretty good sized lot of land. They go about once a week, sometimes a little less depending on how things are going in the rest of their lives, and let the dog run around for about an hour or two. The dog is happy then, and so is my sister because the dog isnt into everything because of it.

so i was out of the office yesterday. i caught a cold, i don't know from whom but it's annoying. i don't mind being generally cranky and sullen that much: i usually try to keep to myself on such days so i don't inflict my mood on others.

but what i really hate is the weird taste you get and the hollow feeling in your sinus cavity, once the congestion's gone. it makes me feel light-headed.

i require mass quantities of chicken noodle soup. happily, a place around the corner does a nice one.

grumpily,

ed

Ed, I totally feel your pain. I have chronic sinus problems they are not fun.
