Things that piss you off?

I would change Dr.'s but this is my surgeon...I can't change! Yes, very frustrating that they overbook so heavily. *grrrr*
That sucks! :(

Ugh!

I discovered the horrible facts that Eilan points out about over-booking. I have learned that with a certain Dr. NOT to book an appointment past 3 pm because I have been to his office, waited around and at 5 pm (yes, two hours later than my appointment) and had to frickin' reschedule my appointment. Of course, this Dr. is out of town, about an hour away. Yep, that pissed me off in a hurry!

It doesn't seem to matter what time of day my appointment is with this Doctor. The previous appointment I had before this last snafu was at 9:00AM. The first one of the day. While the nurse was getting my meds history and BP I saw the Doctor come in the back door. I thought this should be a piece of cake, first one in, first one out and I'll have the rest of my day to do what I want to do. (This is what I get for thinking!) They put me in one of those lovely exam rooms at 9:10. I sit there until 10:00 before she graces me with her presents. She was in there with me tops, 10 minutes. It's a good thing they took my BP before this!

my great-aunt was visiting yesterday and she got off on some tirade about how pissed off she was that the catholic church in baltimore issued a dispensation for the irish to be allowed to eat meat on lent... so they could have their corned beef. this, then, turned into a rant about the present state of catholicism...

she bitched about how people dress when they go to church, wearing jeans and whatnot. then she spouted off about how when SHE was a girl, being catholic meant you did "X" and you performed "Y" and you paid attention to the rites and all this ceremonial whatnot... blabber blabber blabber...

all i could think was, "when you were a girl did being catholic involve anything about respect, love, consideration and not being judgmental?"

Ah, I see your aunt's met my dad.

It's a subject I avoid whenever possible.

That's probably why they take your BP first.

WPMO: (*^^&%&%& March Madness. It wasn't enough that it took place here, at least some of it, which caused those of us who park at the trolley lot to have to park in a different location, and then created such hellacious traffic that I had hell and all getting out of downtown, which is only 10 miles away from my house.

My son and I attended at Taekwondo tournament in Montgomery, AL and I had planned to rent a car to go there, because my car gets 20 mpg and I was looking forward to a decent sound system where I could play my CDs because the Florida panhandle is a desert when it comes to radio stations. My husband's car gets good gas mileage but I can't drive it because it's standard, and anyway, it had bald tires. (He bought new ones over the weekend).

Course I should have expected it, but I didn't--anyway, when I tried to rent a car, there wasn't a single car to be had, except for land yachts going for $90 a day. No thanks! I tried every place in town. I swear, if I'd been a witch, they'd have been out of broomsticks.

The tournament itself is a separate issue.

I can't believe I'm going to do this.
I guess it's safe to say you haven't been having muckluck with the weather then.

I have been looking forward to the first day of spring since the first day of winter. I had planned to dance outside naked in honor of spring, but now I'll have to disappoint the neighborhood. ;)

I'm hobbling around with a suspected broken toe (no I haven't been to the doctor!) Bloody cane chairs that leap out and kick you when you least expect it

I can't drive or walk very far which means that Gil's looking after me instead of the other way around. Since I've been in Sydney (just over 2 years now) I've hardly had even a cold, I've gotten so used to being healthy that now I'm suddenly NOT is really pissing me off! ;)

Oh, Bandit, owie! Broken toes are horrible! When I was a teenager, I broke the middle three toes on my right foot. I still cringe when I think of it.

Hope it feels better soon. :rose:

(Until then let Gil cluck over you--could be fun. ;) )

so, in summary, quoll's got a cold, bandit's got a broken toe, NB has bronchitis... all we need now is a swarm of locusts.
