They are finally strengthening marriage

Couture, whose views I do not appreciate, in an offhand way, made a very valid point.

What is the purpose of a marriage contract, granted and approved by the ruling authority?

On a wider scope, what is the purpose of a sanctioned marriage?

I think it has something or another to do with circumcision.

But seriously, there are some benefits to marriage. First, you don't have to listen to people always asking, "Are you married yet?" There are also benefits when a spouse dies, to adopt children, and also to gain US citizenship.

The point of the original post is that the surest way to strengthen marriage is to end divorce. Make it like the old days when you were either Catholic or you were Catholic.

Hmmm...male circumcision was invented by jewish women to allow the penis to rub against garments, become less sensitive so as to extend the duration of coitus.

Now, what were you saying?

You just never met the right guys, sweets, 20 years ago I would have volunteered to demonstrate, with a foreskin, no less, but alas, alack, woe is me, time has rendered me without the desire for further conquests....

...may the force be with you, from one Jedi Knight to another...

amicus, constantly bemusing the audience...
