We need to stop taking Time for granted. The biggest smiles come from giving the smallest of things. Time is our greatest asset, but costs us the least, maybe that's why we take it for granted. Spend yours wisely, my friends; make someone smile.

This made me think of the muppets and kermit singing, " There never seems to be enough time to do the things we want to do once we find them..." Time in a bottle....

Couldn't find Kermit...

Muppets

I know what you mean though. I have been off work for almost two months. I had lots of things to do, and I didn't do any of them! Why? Not enough "time"

Jezzi, I have this cute little neighbor lady who has needed my assistance for the last little while. She has taught me just how important making time for people is. I stopped by last night to drop some things by her house. Along with the things, I took a couple of pieces of pizza from the local pizza place. Not only did she have the biggest smile, she laughed and clapped her hands. Over 2 slices of pizza. A thing most of us take for granted, but her joy over someone thinking of her was simultaneously touching and humbling.

Time is not an asset.

Time is unpredictable and often times frustrating as the timetables are set for us. Time causes anxiety, whether it's a self-imposed deadline or imposed by others ... or watching the natural progression of life around you that you can't assimilate to.

Time is a menace. It's aggravation.

We do not have enough time for everything.

All these can be true and troublesome.

Set some time for yourself...find your joy.

be blessed

I clicked the tv on a while ago. I had never seen Beverly Hills Chihuahua and was looking more for noise and something to actually watch, so I left it there. I have laughed more than I think may have been intended.

We need to take time for ourselves. But I never consider time in front of a TV is being spent wisely.

I'm watching, wrapping presents, cooking, and watching the wild kitten attack the evil Christmas presents, which obviously need some sort of dealing with. But in the end, is anything that brings a smile to our faces a waste?

That's beautiful. I had a 90 year old neighbor who I adored. He passed not too long ago... I used to bring him pie from a local place, he was always so happy. Now I am teary, but good tears, happy memories.

We all should take a day or two off from cynicism every once in a while.

There are 86,400 seconds in a day.

120,000 totally innocent babies are intentionally killed simply for convenience every day.

That's a quarter of a million intentionally killed for convenience in your "a day or two off".

Thanks, but I'll delightfully cherish and savor my cynicism, full-time.

Do not expect that I have come to spread peace over the earth. I did not come to spread peace, except destruction.

For I came to turn the man against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law.

And the enemies of the man [will be] the children in his house.

Whoever values father and mother more than me, is no use to me, and whoever values son and daughter more than me, is not worthy of me.

And whoever does not bear his cross and follow me, is not worthy of me.

as is your right, my friend.

as for me, I'll hope for someone to show you a kindness that will make you smile. If only to yourself.

What a cunt.

If I have learned one thing this past week, it's that we never set aside enough of our time for those who should have it :(
I am grateful that despite a whole pile of other pressures making it seem impossible to do, I took the time to spend the last week my sis had, just being with her.
Lesson learned.
