Another 2 lbs and the week isn't even over yet!!! That makes 31 lbs lost now. my first goal is only 2 lbs away. i think i might need to celebrate. i have wanted to reach this goal FOREVER.
DAMN RIGHT you should celebrate! Go buy yourself a new pair of shoes or a CD, or get a massage, or go to a movie! You are doing awesome and you deserve a reward!

Did you drink soda? If you drink just one soda a day.... everyday for a year... you will gain 15 pounds... I've dropped soda from my diet and I just feel better....
That's regular soda though, right? I haven't had a regular soda in a million years (okay, maybe 5-6 years) and I don't know why anybody would drink them. I swear by diet soda - most of the time that's my caffeine jump-start for the morning.

Yeah... Regular soda is what kills people. they don't realize that it can ruin all the hard work.

So that's why I see so many people with regular soda. Personally, I don't understand why anybody who wasn't allergic to artificial sweeteners would drink regular soda. It's 100% empty calories...zero nutritional benefits. Diet soda doesn't have any benefits either, but at least it's zero calories.

Can you imagine taking a glass of water and adding 10 spoons of sugar? That's what you're getting with Coke. Or any other soft drink.

I don't think it's healthy to drink a ton of diet drinks either. I've never seen insects go near a spilled Diet Mountain Dew. That can't be a good sign. I'm happy with water and a slice of lemon. And even better, it's usually free.

I'll admit that I like to have the diet soda. I am often tempted by regular sode but I have to look away. It's all bad for you. I just like the carbonation... But I drink a lot of diet citris green tea by nestea. It's great tasting and only has a little sodium. There's a berry one but I haven't tried that one yet. I was going to buy a pack.... I'll let you know how that works out for me.

Went out to dinner last night for a going away party. I was a bit paranoid about what to eat, etc. Fortunately it was a steak house which is fairly easy to accomodate my diet. Ended up having them give me extra veggies (which were snow peas) instead of the potato, ate about a third of the steak, had 2 tastes of my husband's key lime cheesecake, and had one of each appetizer. I felt stuffed and bloated by the end of the night so I figured I was up a pound but instead I lost a pound.

My weight loss pattern is clearly one pound lost exactly every 2 weeks. I can live with this since it should stay off and I am not getting huge weight swings (like I have in the past).

My saturday weigh in was at the end of the day instead of the morning...

250. *sighs* I HATE plateaus

Huh... my starting weight... Though I am only two and a half pounds down... since I last looked. How are things going for you?

wooo another pound down this week - I am actually feeling like I just might get there. 6 pounds left to go for this goal and then I am going to shoot for another 15 pounds.

I can't do it. Water just turns me off. Even with lemon, I don't go for it. And actually, I always thought I was the only person in the world who thought like that - but on the SparkPeople message board there are a couple of threads going with other people who hate water.

So I'm about the same for weight but I think I have lost a little bit of mass just for the sake that I can see less bulging over certain pieces of clothing. Which is always very nice.

Crystal Light really helps... It makes water GOOD!

so today is a new day and a new beginning
there is a women only weightloss centre only 2 mins up the road from me
today i took the step and called up, the lady who answered sounded really nice and explained it all to me. they even have a free trial week at the moment. so thats good too :D
so heres a step in the right direction. i wanted to say i did it all myself and had that control, but its hard and i just cant stay motivated. so lets see how i go with help :D
im going to go in tonight and see how i go :D
im a bit nervous
but im sure it will be fine :D

Master Gil keeps telling me I don't drink enough water - but I just don't seem to get thirsty  When I'm working out I can drink a 750ml bottle of water no trouble. But on an average day I'd be lucky to drink 500ml. The recommended daily allowance is 8 glasses or 2 litres  (1000ml = 1 litre).

On very hot days I have to force myself to drink and I still don't make the 2 litres

so discovery of the day is my scales here at home are way different to the ones where i went tonight (hence change in ticker)
but the good news is, the people there are really lovely, its just a small little centre seems straight forward cant go wrong if i stick to what they tell me
time will tell
it felt like going to a first day at school or something, very nerve racking
good though :D

hope everyone had a good day
if not there is always 2moro

I have a box of Crystal Light On the Go right next to me! I also use Water Sensations, which is basically the same thing but in liquid form rather than powder. But the big question with those is...when you add them, is it still considered "water" under the "you should have 8 glasses a day" rule? On the SP board we have pretty much agreed that it is, but nobody has actually consulted a nutritionist on that.

I realized that the protein shakes I have also call for water, so I have started counting those 8oz as well. I've heard that humans actually get enough water from our food already, and we don't really need 64oz/day, but I have pretty dark pee unless I drink tons of water. Your pee is supposed to be pale, so I try to drink enough for that.

According to Weight Watchers, it is still considered water as well.

Yeah, I really don't think that it changes water enough for it not to be water... You know? I know that I need to drink more water and I drink a lot of diet teas with citrus and such. I can always tell if I have had too little water and I usually go to the fridge to fix that as quickly as possible.

Yay, I am glad others agree with that. :)

I don't count anything caffeinated though - I'm pretty sure there's something in there that affects how your body processes it. But Diet Sprite counts as "water" for me!

Yeah, no caffiene rule works for me!

Well, for this week i'm actually up 2 pounds. I'm thinking the weight gain may be muscle not fat, but i don't really know for sure. On the plus side i think i look leaner and i'm getting stronger still, although i've hit a plateau with a couple muscle groups.

As for the water consumption deal, i definitly don't drink enough water myself. I'm not really sure if crystal lite takes away the benifits of water, but maybe you should look at the sodium content too. If there's alot of sodium (basically salt) it should actually use up other water in your body to remove any excess sodium, plus sodium is never really that good for you.
