I saw a rather large guy, I'm guessing well over 300 pounds eating a quarter pounder with cheese and a large fries. I don't guess he saw the movie "Supersize me."
I think this cold weather has kept my cold lingering around. I'm functional but not 100%. Maybe the worst is over.
Well, but I started at 189 in January 2006. I'm now 163. That's not very fast, really. I was actually doing fine for a while but then in late summer/early fall I hit a plateau. So really it's not that great, over time. Oh well.WriterDom said:That's pretty good from where you started. A pound or so a week is 52 pounds in a year. A half pound which barely shows up on a scale is 26 in a year.
I guess people except miracles and get discouraged after a month or two. I know slow and steady works. What I hope I learned is that old habits return your old body.

I am going to go order those shakes and bars and stuff now. That'll give me hope.
WD, you are inspirational. What an excellent post, I am going to quote that on my diet blog (not that I have any readers).WriterDom said:Wake up. Walk to the bathroom. Look in the mirror. What do you see? I see another chance, another 24 hours to get it right, another chance to win the day. So there you have it, chances with every new day. What a gift. Stop stalling. It never gets any easier. The weight never magically gets lighter. Cardio never gets easier. Dieting never gets fun.
