The Weekly Weigh-in Thread.

Hi All! How are you doing?

So, got on the scale this morning - am still 167. The next couple of weeks are so intensely work and play filled that I don't think I'll get much exercise except for walking (I'm lucky that I can make that part or all of my daily commute).

I am committing to two things this week:

1. Going back to an older way of eating that has always seemed to be healthier for me - less carbs - particularly grains, more fat, and plenty of protein and vegetables and fruits, all freshly prepared instead of processed. NO sugar and only 2 glasses of wine during the next 7 days.

2. I will walk at least 30 minutes per day, no matter what else comes my way!

Have a great week, all!

It's nice to have a kinky space to do a weight check in. :D Neon

Had myself a 2 week hiatus(sp?)

So after two weeks of not going to the gym I'm at 157 1/2 but thats still not bad with clothes on. Means I haven't lost and haven't gained.

Congratulations! It must mean that you're eating right, yes? :rose: Neon

Managed to lose another pound so thats 2 for the month - am thrilled. Am down 2 sizes in clothes so progress. I just may get close to my goal weight by January - am not counting on it but sure would be nice.

Woo Hoo! :nana:

So I blew it last week - grantwriting = no time to exercise = stress = no time to cook = junk food = 2 extra pounds  I'm determined to do better this week...

Awww girl - you will do it. It's hard when you have major stressors going on - it's like your body goes on survival mode and holds onto every extra calorie and water pound "just in case". Hang in there!

Thank you, Kierae! I need the encouragement about now. :rose: Neon

Hey, Wenchhh to wench here. Good job! I know exactly how you feel, hon. I tried on a set of scrubs for work today, that I bought a while ago and promptly grew out of... and today, they fit! whooo hooo! That's down one size in 3 wks.... only 3 more to go! LOL.
I've been going to the gym to lift weights and use the elliptical, and recently got a treadmill at home, so am doing some sort of something every day. Also and following the weight watchers plan pretty religiously, except last night's 2am Whopper JR on the way home from an exciting night with a friends Band. So much going on, I just afford to be out of shape over weight, and not feel really good about what I look like.
How is everyone else doing?

I haven't been making much of an effort lately. At least I haven't gained hardly any, but I'm getting back in the game now.

Count me in..

Okay.. I know it is June and you all have had a head start on this project but if there is room for one more, I'd like to take part. I need to do it - for the same reasons EG (good luck with that man.. I've got sugar free cake mix and frosting I'll send you for a cake as I just read it was your birthday today (or yesterday)).

Well May was a good month for me - dropped 4 pounds. I figured I would be lucky if I dropped 1 or 2 for June but just dropped another pound so who knows - might be able to see another chunk go. Kinda excited to see I have lost 25 so far.

Welcome to the thread Chris!

I thought I might hop in here myself despite the headstart y'all have on me lol. I've been making it up to the gym to swim laps kind of intermittently but have determined to make it an everyday thing. Especially after today, my goal for today was 20 laps and I managed 30 instead! Felt like I was going to just drop by the end of it but after a quick soak in the gyms whirlpool I felt absolutely great!

I've also changed what I'm eating, cleaned the junkfood out of the cupboards and fridge and have replaced them with healthier options. Even my friends agree that it's almost disgustingly healthy lol.

So according to the scale at the gym I'm at 238lbs. and I want to get down to about 160-170 by the end of the year.

Caela, I am with you hon. You and I weigh about the same, and I am aiming for 40 more lbs by September.
yes, I know it's too much, and I probably won't make it, but... about 4 lbs a week. Probably unattainable, but since this was an 8lb wt loss week, I have hope. I'm following weightwatchers, using the treadmill here at home, and weight training, eliptical and playing raquetball with my son at the gym.
Got my nails done today, hair restreaked either tomorrow or Thursday afternoon. Makes me hold my head higher and feel like a woman.. (isn't that a song)?!
Let's support each other , eh? I need all the help I can get.

I'm with you Wenchhh!!! :) You are doing a lot more excercise than I am but today really emphasized for me that I not only need to be doing more but that I can do more than I thought. I'm hoping to work up to 40 laps byt he end of the week and my ultimate goal (working up my laps over the course of a couple of months) is to be doing 100 laps a day.

whew! That's a LOT of lappin! I'm thinking it's NOT the kind I'd like to be doing... oooh, it's been one of those days, time to get it outta the gutter! You go girl!

Well...OK...I'm at a point where I'm building muscle rapidly and the pounds are no longer coming off. My trainer says it is alright as I am not gaining as I could be. My skirts are looser and that is what it is all about he says.

:nana:

Oh and well done to you all who make the effort.

Don't let yourself get discouraged - this is definitely what happens! Congrats! :D

Hmm, maybe that's what I need, a personal trainer... let's see.... 6'2, dark, clear, shiny sweaty skin, big brown eyes, and wicked wicked muscles. How would he inspire me to work harder??? mmm, now THERE is a question I will enjoy pondering. Maybe I'll put an add in the paper. Thanks for the sinspiration, Blushing Bottom. PS Dear Master, is following a trainers orders, considered "submitting" and thus out of the question? NM, this Wenchhh is a smart girl, and I can figure it out myself... unfortunately :(

Ugh...I was bad today. Skipped the gym - had errands to run and by the time I was done it was almost 8pm - and had fast food for dinner. Blech. Ah well. Tomorrow I'll be better.

I walked 3 miles and worked up a good sweat even though it was almost 7pm. I'm thinking about getting back on the damn elliptical again. But I hate indoor exercise. And in the summer, they rarely keep it cool enough in the gym.

Ugh, i didn't do that great today either. Had ACLS and was stressed. Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Writer Dom, good job with the walking! you rock! I too hate indoor exercise
I just wish it could be over faster!

i work out with kettlebells and today was my easy day.

i did 7 x 5 with a 35 lb kettlebell

then i did some snatches, and some pullups.

ill probably do abs a little later.

oh and im new here, so hi! :)
