This is such a tired issue.
Bottom line: Typically the countries who oppose the war against Iraq aren't being threatened by them. Many have been trading with Saddam long after his little misadventures murdering his own people. If he uses poison gas on them, do you think he would hesitate to use it, or worse, at the rest of the world? The politics of appeasement don't work when you are dealing with a madman. Just ask Great Britain about that paper-hanging son of a bitch (thanks, George).
When Saddam goes postal and lobs some of his gas at his neighbors, whom will you ask to stop him?
