The Walking Dead

Yes, The brain has to be damaged for them to die. Remember all the moving heads in the governors aquarium?

She sure does. It will make it easier to visualize when her and Rick finally fuck.

Ahhh yes'm the floating heads, I forgot.

Rick best bathe before he gets some. Daryl should fuck first, after he gets rid of that silly haircut.

That said, I have a newfound respect for Carl. That kid has been born again hard. He knows what it takes to survive in this world even moreso than his father.
yeah, walking backwards with zombies around is a skill of a real survivalist.

It actually is and if they'd had those skills a few months ago they'd still have a fucking farm. The kids' a champ. Except for the part where his father is still alive. I'm sorry in a Zombie Apocalypse where people wake up dead you get three shouts of your name and one kick, after that you get a knife to the fucking brain or at least get tied down because if Rick had turned while Carl was barricaded in the best case scenario would be a waste of a perfectly good bullet, and like Rick pointed out bullets are worth more than gold in the new world. You do not waste those all willy nilly like.

wondering that myself. But now I think he was trying to get them away from the house, to save bullets like Rick suggested earlier

He said that during the episode.

"I lured them away! I saved you!"

Zombies make noise and attract other zombies, he quite possibly had no intention of killing them once he could get them out of earshot. Unless you plan on clearing an area the best thing you can do is simply get the heard moving away from you.

Really? How is walking backwards without looking where you're going (a quick look every few minutes doesn't count unless you have a 50-100 yard line of sight) the skill of a survivalist?
It was an idiot in last night's show.

Yeah, he was. But these zombies are quite slow. You walk quickly forwards with a quick look over your shoulder to make sure they are keeping up and haven't wandered off.

He was looking every few seconds. The fact that zombies have long since mastered ninjustu is not his fault. And he did have 50-100 yard line of sight, not that it would have helped since zombies are ninjas and are quite capable of appearing out of nowhere.

By any rational measure even counting "Why isn't he in the house" Carl of season 2 he still has less fuck ups to his name than Rick who's been just a barrel full of fuck up since he showed up. Granted some of them were innocent mistakes, others were mistakes other people should have caught and helped him out with but ultimately Considering his parentage Carl came out the badest motherfucker in the history of the world.

I think you better go back and watch the episode again. A zombie came at him from around a corner about 10 feet away.

One thing I've never understood is why they didn't make a run to Northern Tool or Graingers (on the south side of atlanta as they headed out) and get supplies, like a generator and pump so they could get fuel out of in ground storage tanks.

Frankly I'm surprised any of them are still alive.

Yeah, a zombie did appear ten feet away. But watch the scene again, the trees there are quite sparse and small. There is no way a zombie could have been there without Carl seeing it from far away. They however are ninjas. The same ninja zombies that took out Dale in season 2, or got into the camp earlier. Zombies can teleport, just like Jason.

As for your other question it's heavily implied that nearly everywhere has been looted. The fact that you can name the location means it was long since looted in this world. (and in real life the fuel would all be bad by now but that's beside the point.)

Really it's more impressive they don't have a better handle on things yet. Zombies even with their limited teleport power aren't THAT dangerous as multiple cases have shown a good melee weapon is all you need to clear em out. Once the initial surprise died down places like Woodberry should have started cropping up immediately and successfully. Zombies don't even seem to give a shit about crops so you could probably grow them outside your defenses without too much effort. I'm really more curious how things went in places with vast orchards or hell Alaska and Canada. It's implied in the comics that cold weather freezes their blood and slows em down (though it might just be they stumble too much in the snow, regardless snow is your friend) move to a place that has plenty and the walkers you get are easy.

And yes, Carl could have walked forward and only occasionally looked back to make sure they hadn't lost interest. That I will grant, however that doesn't DQ the rest of his plan.

He may be more able, but he's still a punk kid.

Typically teenager.....dealing with extraordinary circumstances.....I happen to like the dude, not the disrespect he gave to Rick, but we knew something was bothering him

They pretty much lifted the entire episode from an issue of the comic series, which I thought was awesome..with the exception being Carl is a couple years younger intthe graphic novels and that Rick was come boy for a few days and not just one

I'm guessing the rest of the season will be seeing who lives, how the ones that live hook up again ... and end with them arriving at the Alexandria Safe Zone

If you people think the Governor was evil wait till you meet Negan.

I'll be extremely curious to see how they manage to top the Governor in terms of evil, he was already cartoonishly stupid evil by the end. Rick laid out in very clear terms why a fight was the worst thing they could ever do and he still went around doing it. Unless Negan is a terrorist blowing shit up just because he can or is farming people, not just eating, but literally farming them for meat, I've played the game, met the cannibals and. . . yeah. I think if they hadn't been such twats I would have been cool with them. Their mistake was trying to kill me and more importantly Clem. You fuck with clem and I learn to go Super Saiyan on your roody poo candy ass.

Carl's nearly got the same hairdo now.

If they follow the comics, he is the leader of a group/cult that provides "protection" to settlements/safe zones in exchange for half their supplies.
Crazy, bad ass, and mean. He also has his own harem...so that is kind of cool.

Maybe a season away? Wonder who will play him if so.

That sounds "nicer" than the governor to me. Certainly less stupid. I guess it depends on if he can make good on his claims though. Though in a world that doesn't have super powers of any sort worse is a matter of degrees. I wish in hindsight that they'd dragged out the Vatos/had a longer first season. Having a fight with a group that in the end was just trying to survive but were ultimately "good" but had been fucked over in the past would make for a good dynamic.

I don't know. There are so many places around atlanta that sell generators I'm sure they could have found more than one. Most of the people in the group wouldn't have thought of it, but I'm sure Daryl would have, and maybe even Dale, in spite of his pie-in-the-sky outlook, he also seemed fairly inventive.
Yeah, the fuel would have been bad by now, but a raid on auto parts stores for fuel stabilizer would have solved that.
That's something that bothered me from season one on, as a group they weren't at all practical in their vehicles of choice. But I also get they had to appease sponsors and choose a Hyundai Tucson as their "Zombie Apocalypse" vehicle.
