The Walking Dead

Three of us. Though I really wanted the tank to last. I'm sorry I haz penis and like most people with penis I kinda like being able to wander around, whip it out and declare "Mine's Bigger."

Tanks get 1/3 mile per gallon.

Mileage varies by tank.
The tank used in the mid season finale is a M60 Patton (probably the M60A3 variant), with a fuel capacity of 385 gallons and an effective operational range of 300 miles.

Frankly, APC's or IFV's would be a better zombie apocalypse transports/weapons

Mine is bigger. That's all that's important.

Besides 300 miles is a pretty fair distance when you factor in that in the gear up to fight the Governor back in season 3 Rick went all the way back to his home town, which ain't that far from Atlanta. My suspicion is the entire story thus far has probably taken place in less than a 50 mile radius.

Tanks are also pretty damn psychological. A tank with no bullets parked outside your camp would stop 90% of people from fucking with you. The only reason the Mayor's bluff didn't fly was because Rick was willing to say fuck it, either I get to live here (with or with out you) or nobody does. That was a pretty damn good plan even without the hostages. Most people also wouldn't have been thinking as clearly as Rick was about just how badly a fight would/could turn out for both teams and just how hard a bluff it would have been against a rational person. The governor not being one was more than willing to use the tank but yeah. Tanks are pretty high on the mine's bigger scale.

I think it might have worked had Rick and almost all the others not known what the Governor was all about. Maybe he would have let them walk away peacefully -- thinking here about him telling Michonne he didn't want revenge for the "killing" of his daughter -- but everyone there had seen ample proof of his sociopathy. Rick probably assumed their only real choices, against this particular opponent, were either to defend the prison or be killed in retreat, and that's an easy choice.

fuck. I don't know about you guys but I think Carol could've(or probably did) had something with axel(that one creepy inmate) loon in form of a chemistry? or was it just a desperate cry of a mental escape fuck?

Fair enough on that point. I think Rick probably would have been able to walk had he been willing. But the Governor was a crazy person out more for petty spite than anything else by the end there.

didn't bother reading this whole thread or the interwebs for a comment on this..but the gov.. was he a socalist nazi Obama?

don't matter ..I hope rick fucks that black samurai biatch with luther Vandross remixed verison from regina spector, I see some chemistry.

*on the side note I have only seen season 2 & 3 on netflicks. I'm yet to see any episode from the 4th season

I'm not entirely convinced Carol actually did kill those two... I think it was the one of kids she was mentoring

Carol doesnt strike me as someone that would leave such a huge trail of evidence

I think she did burn the corpses, but she's covering for the kids

this would be the same eprson that's dissecting rat corpses all round the place and leaving them for the walkers

just think about it for a second.. the kid was told to stop being weak, doesnt really have a parental figure for guidance except Carol and she's telling them to shut their emotions down... they saw their dad sick and Carol told them to kill him.. so they see the two sick people, so they decided to prove they're " strong" and kill them

got a kid sociopath and Carol took the fall to protect them

*Shuuder* Still people who hate Rick enough to ship him with Michonne. It's not like he killed his best friend or anything. He doesn't deserve that. You people are the real monsters, not the things outside that fence!

BBS, I don't think the person disecting rats, feeding the walkers and killing the sick are all the same person. To me that shows at least two distinct (sick and "destructive") personalities but quite separate. The person feeding the walkers would have a personality similar to Hershel in S2, and is probably one of the little girls. The one who was commenting that the walker should have names because they are people. Different people but people none the less. A person who would feed walkers because they are human would not kill two people who might become sick and become walkers. It goes against what their defining "flaw" is.

On the flip side the person who killed those two sick people did so out of cold pragmatism. And may very well have saved lives. The quarantine idea only sorta worked out and wasn't in place at the time either. If it had been things would be different but it wasn't.

I don't really have a working theory on who's doing the dissecting though conservation of detail tells me it's got to be one of the others probably that little psycho girl but hey you gotta do what you gotta do right? They've at this point got one doctor and one kinda vet. . .oops one was excommunicated and the other killed. Little mr. rat dissector might be the leading medical authority in their little community! (JK, they don't have anybody with any skill left!)

I think it is pretty obvious the drunk is the guy feeding walkers etc...
Think back to the perfectly dissected rat. Kids couldn't do that and he has some medical training. ( I must have missed all his back story, as I do not recall them explaining where the medical training came from).

That does not mean the kids/little girl did not kill the two sick people.

Separate events IMO

I could dissect a rat at that age. Maybe not Perfectly but this is also Hollywood where either you can't do something at all or you can do it pretty damn well so I don't think the quality of the job is any measure of training. Just like that fence doesn't look like it was patched by a bunch of guys with makeshift tools using whatever they had around, it looks like professionals patched it up and were expecting to come back in a month and finish prettying it.

Like I said though I don't really have a working theory on the dissector yet the only reason I think it's an already extant character is because three different people would just be too many.

add in all the other groups he has been with where he walks away the sole survivor, drunk, slightly weird and the evidence piles up.

Oh your theory on that may very well be right. I hadn't paid any attention to the drunk at all.

I saw that Rick guy in another movie last night. He's a Brit.

So is Maggie.

Not really.

American born, moved to England in her teens, picked up the British accent.

I'd do her.

They had commercials almost literally every 5 minutes. That kind of shit makes you start rooting for the zombies. And the end of the episode...come on. I will assume it gets better next week.

Somebody thought this was a woman? Really?

Anywho...Maggie, Rick, the Gov...whenever there's a Southern accent needed Brits get alot of work.

And the tank...ever see a tank shell? About ten times as much explosive as a grenade...yeah being nitpicky. This show has better gun discipline than the majority of television...but still, pretty much none of the firearm handling has any basis on real life.

Oh and Norman Reedus is a big biker in real life and does his own riding stunts.

Yes, nearly everybody was convinced that was a woman for years and years.

Brits just get a lot of work period, they are really good at doing accents, I suspect it's because they have to learn just to get a job in the first place in their home country and faking US comes first. Not that I think MAggie really sounds that Southern.

I've seen a real tank shell, I don't know what bearing that has on anything here as for their guns they really aren't realistic but after seeing that movie with the actual Navy Seals I don't ever want to see anything that even resembles realism again. I'll settle for something this show does. . .better than most ut not good. Hand guns being innaccurate at long ranges, there is a reason people use fucking rifles and it's not because they like carrying bigger guns. That aside these people all have rediculous super aim. Though like I said not as bad as say Dawn of the Dead 2005 or anything from 24. Jack Bauer could probably close his eyes, spin around three times fire between his legs and still take the wings out from between a fly at a quarter mile.

Andrew Lincoln has done some good stuff here. Was in a fab spooky series called Afterlife. And Morrissey has been in tons of crime dramas. Didn't know about Maggie though.
