The Walking Dead

Rick's turned into Shane. What the fuck is gonna happen next week?

Hope preacher cunt dies.

I said that I wished the preacher had died a few weeks ago and now people know why he should have had his face eaten off.

They keep killing off all the good characters and hot women. They need to stopt this crap. Carol stays....

Hard to become emotionally invested in WD characters anymore.
Except Daryl. Daryl rocks.

Carol's character is tough enough, smart enough, and cold enough to survive.

One real takeaway from the WD; don't be a black man during the zombie apocalypse.

I really thought that there would be a period of general calm in Alexandria before things went all to hell again (because without the hell, there's no show). Instead our group showed up, said all the right things about fitting in, and then immediately got all paranoid.

Of course, most of the original residents of Alexandria seem to be either totally useless or outright detrimental cowards. Rick was right when he said they had to be the luckiest people in the world.

Glenn seems to be taking over the optimist role ("we have to make this work") that usually means you're about to croak (Hershel, Bob, Beth). I hope this doesn't happen.

How could they do this last episode without Maggie spilling the beans about Gabriel stabbing them in the back? Isn't that the sort of thing the others might need to know about?

I thought the same thing about Maggie. And Rick is right about them, not only were they lucky but their ways are not aligned with survival. His way of going about it is poorly done, but he is spot on.

I'm loving Carol now, she and Rick are cut of the same cloth. They get it. She has an awesome scene in next weeks episode.

The real question is who is going to get killed off in the next episode?

Michonne as well. don't forget she's the one who knocked Rick out.

Its a prequel, and I can't wait.

It's not really a prequel, it starts earlier according to what I've read but it's really just a different group. Seems like a waste of good money to me.

Honestly is there ever a good time to be a black man. . .aside from drafting for the NBA?

I'm hoping it is Gabriel, but I'm afraid it'll be Glenn. I'd be okay if Baby Judith bit it.

Honestly I worry about Carl. Pretty soon it's gonna be impossible to pretend he's twelve and while I haven't read too much of the comics past this point it doesn't seem like there is anything he's destined to do that can't be lumped onto Glenn to give him something to do other than be the resident Asian. And since he appears to be the last Asian on earth I think he'll be around for a while.

Gabriel is fucked though, probably around when Morgan catches up.

Spoiler alert
In the comics I've read Carl gets shot in the head with a shotgun or something and even though he doesn't die.. Part of his head gets blown off! :(

Isn't that when he got shot in Season 2 by Herschel's son in law? But in the comics it was much worse. I'm sure someone told me that at work.

It's pretty fucked up, but I imagine they won't do that just like Rick still has two hands. Somethings just work better in comics than when you have to actually get makeup on an actor.

One has to wonder why these fucks don't back track nor do they head out to the country. Morgan seemed to have his shit on lockdown, Hershel's farm is still probably a good place with at least one well and produce not to mention there are probably other farms in the area. Despite it working DC is probably amongst the worst places to go. And they are in the American South, grab a goddamn mapbook and look for a place that doesn't have a lot of streets.

Why would people have to pretend he's 12? They've veered from the comics in the past so...

Can these walkers swim? I'd find an island to live on.

I wondered why no one ever had that idea when they were down in Georgia, which has no shortage of little islands that can't be reached except by boat.

They survive getting shot anywhere but in the brain. I'd imagine they can't drown so they don't actually need to swim.

We saw a underwater walker in the episode where the Governor killed the brother of the guy with the tank -- he was tied to a cinder block and dumped in a pond before he turned.

And he was keeping heads in fishtanks if I recall properly. So bottom line the only thing that makes an island safer is the lower population density (in theory) and since they are attracted by sound walkers might not cross water mostly because they have no reason and if they try they might get confused halfway and just kind of wander around in circles.

That might work. Though sharks might not eat em. They are likely rotten. But an island would give you a very definable border.
