The Walking Dead

Before that Bob died -- he was the closest thing to an optimist in the group. And the last episode certainly didn't argue that Tyreese's "visitors" were wrong in telling him that you can't maintain any sense of your humanity and expect to survive for long. It's all very bleak.

How much time was supposed to have passed between December's finale and this episode? We've gotten used to seeing them cover maybe a couple of miles at a time before running into literal roadblocks, but yesterday they finally left Georgia for the first time in the run of the series, and then got through both Carolinas before it was 9:05. Hell, Charlotte traffic is bad enough when there isn't a zombie apocalypse.

Thats part of whats fucked up about this show. There IS NO timeline.

That episode was so disappointing.

Nicotero (Fucking hippie) is trying to get too deep into the minds of these people. Get to the killin and moving on.

I'm telling you the buzz is fading fast on this show if they don't get some action going the ratings are going down.

I totally disagree. Every episode has people killing zombies. It is only through character development that people will care what happens next.

Tyrese needed to go. Too soft for a post-apocalyptic world where you need to be able to kill without reservation.

Yeah but theres simpletons like me who need movement or better plot lines I guess.

I dunno.

All I know is I'm getting bored with it.

Thats not why he needed to go. They killed him off because he WAS an endearing character on the show. For that reason, I'm sure the writers had him die to remind the audience that people die in this new world.

They have absolutely no issues killing people off. I think they were sending more of a message about what it takes to survive in that world.

The producer said it was 17 days between Beth dying and the episode. That was said on the talking dead.

I think part of it was that they didnt have anywhere to go with Tyrese

he had already been significantly changed from what he was in the comic series, and hald already lived longer then he did in the source material

Tyrese in the comics was always depicted as Rick's right hand man... but Daryl already fills that role...plus he was the one that was decapitated by the Governor instead of herschel

with his and Beth's departure, there is no grounding affect on the group.. Michonne seems to want to fill that space, but she's been a step outside the group, so no one's really listening to her

what I feel will happen... spoiler alert... is that Ricks group will become just as brutal and ruthless as the groups they fight and when they finally do arrive at the Alexandria Safe Zone, a place where they are welcomed peacefully, they will be just as brutal and monstrous as the enemies they have fought... our heroes will have become villains and they must " come back" in order to make Alexandria work

SPOILERS OBVIOUSLY!

Weird episode but good. I thought them bringing Tyreese in so late would mean he'd survive longer oh well. Who else thought of Lucille when Glenn picked up that bat? :D

I'm interested in the wolves, and the scarred/cut-up walkers.

I want the show to get to Washington asap really want to see Jesus, the hilltop & the Alexandria SZ, Negan & the saviors.

Moral of the story:
If you're a black guy during the Zombie Apocalypse you best keep your head on a swivel.

Especially if you find yourself monologuing.

I'm sort of glad that Tyreese died. He was too soft and like the preacher, he was a problem for the group.

According to Greg Nicotero, 17 days have passed between the two episodes.
