The video game thread

Wow, I've actually got 41 posts on this thread. I've had it hijacked for months then. ;)

Hehe. I haven't been here for awhile..had to branch out on my own I guess. The thread tends to expand more when there are women posting, but hey, can't ask for everything, y'know? I'm thinking about trading some games in today, but I don't know which to trade in. And I don't know which one I want. My choices are:
Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven
Auto Modellista
Xenosaga
Splinter Cell

Then again, I don't even know which of those are out, I'm so behind on the times.

Tenchu is out - my friend has it and loves it. Enjoys watching CPU people die a horrible stealth death.

Xenosaga should be out too - the commercials are providing plenty 'o eye candy.

Can't comment on the rest. My vote would be Tenchu. It does sport multiplayer stealth (vs. and cooperative).

Geez, now I see what happens to these threads when I'm gone for a month or so...

Picked up the new Indiana Jones game two weeks ago and finished it just last night on normal.. Kind of disapointing, but it was still a cool game overall.

Found DOA-Beach Volleball at a pawn shop for 30 bucks so I figured I'd pick it up.. Played it for a week and got bored out of my mind so I sold it right back to the pawn shop. Very cool game with no replay value. Good for renting.

Not sure what baseball game to get yet.. but I am gonna get one. I heard good and bad things about all three, so I may rent a few this weekend and check them all out for myself.

Hey, welcome back.

I played a demo of the Acclaim baseball game, it got the worst reviews of them all I think but I liked the batting.

I actually haven't been playing much lately, but am looking forward to several releases coming. Apex sure is good, I've played that one. A pleasant surprise, quality racer.

Storm - You must get the official X-Box Mag huh? :) Yeah I don't like the batting interface on All Star B-ball.. I'm thinking I will probably be getting WS 2K3 by Sega. Sega has made great NFL and NHL games thusfar.. Baseball should be no different.

Eagle - Of course! How are ya?

Yep.

And to be honest, it's the first baseball I've tried since the Genesis. You're on the money with the Sega way of thinking, though.

Hey LT, Hey Storm

I've been away for a while, just away from the board, school and life got in the way, and to tell ya the truth, i was sick of how things were around the board in general...it wasnt fun anymore, everyone was just so pissy and moody and fucking rediculas, i couldnt stand it. But i'm back now, so hopefully things have changed a bit...we'll see

How's everyone been? Hehe, i used to be a key part to this here thread, lol. Lets see...i'm eagerly awaiting Evil Dead: A Fistfull of Boomstick, and that sweet lookin Starcraft:Ghost game

Funny enough Eagle, it's my first day back but it was an unwanted absence from the net. lol

Hey you guys! I got an Xbox...yup, I finally broke down and got one, mostly for Star Wars games and the exclusive Spawn character in Soul Calibur 2. I'll be back later, I'm usually on in the mornings now.

I got the new Gameboy advanced SP

So forgive me for being dumb, but what is the big deal about this GB over the last GB?

Pezzers may have to explain it to me...

I have a GBA SP also ...

1) The SP has a light

2) It also comes with a recharable battery & AC adaptor

Battery life 10 hours w/ light on ... 18 w/o

But there is no headphone jack ... you need to purchase the adaptor cable ... I have not seen one of those yet at my store.

Its the same gaming architecture as the regular Gameboy advanced. but

http://www.gameboy.com/sp/img/hardware/hardware_2.jpg
Light source:
Front light integrated with LCD
So you can play in the dark or low level light which you cant with regular gameboy advanced.

Weight:
Approximately 5 ounces
Very easy to cary

Power supply:
Rechargeable lithium-ion battery
No more money wasted on Bateries
A scant three hours to recharge, then 10 hours of all-out gameplay–many more, if you turn off the front light. And you can play even while the super-compact battery recharges.

Software:
Fully compatible with Game Boy and Game Boy Color Game Paks

The slim SP slips perfectly into your hip pocket – and your on-the-go lifestyle. The flip-top protects the screen when not being used.

Plus the silver one looks dam cool Like a pda.
I can play it onthe subway and no one will give me a diry look.

Thanks for the info on that.. I guess I coulda looked it up as well myself, but I've just never had a real burning intrest in any kind of GB.

Lt...I could have told you all that about the GB SP. But They didn't say that it seriously lights up my bedroom at night when I can't find something. :D

Most expensive flashlight I've ever owned. ;)

LOL

Well you see the thing is you're so smart and in moments when urgent and quick thinking is needed to resolve what I'm sure is an intense problem, you'll always come up with very creative ways to solve that problem. ;)
