The video game thread

DC, of course. I would think if they re-released it, it would A.) be called Samba 2k3 and B.) would have newer songs. Personally, I'd love to see J.Lo's "Ain't it funny" and "Las Ketchup" on there. Kung-fu Fighting and MJ's PYT would be good to, but too many legalities behind them (they had a hard enough time securing Ricky Martin's songs).

But, my maracas are ready. Shake shake shake!!!

They should release it for the GameCube. It's the perfect system. I dread the day they contemplate releasing it for PS2/3 or (shudder) XBox.

Actually, I guess they won't be calling the PS3, well, PS3. Anyone know what Sony is thinking of calling it?

I know we have some anime freeks here on Lit, but that may be a tough question..

As for games I've been playing? Legends Of Wrestling 2 which I am getting a huge kick out of. It's awesome to see all these "legends" and then be able to create so many different wrestlers. You know that Jericho vs Piper match they were talking about on WWE Confedential? I made that match the other night.

And of course there are the Sega Sports games that always kick ass! Can't wait until I get my hands on All Star Baseball 2004

I have an xbox and a Dreamcast. I cant wait for PSO on Xbox.

NOTE: In order to play PSO you need to have X-Box Live ... weather you are going to play it on or off line ... As far as I know ...

The first 2 monthes are free to play on-line & the monthly fee was $8.95 a month ... Yer free on-line playing started the day you start playing PSO ... Hence the reason to have X-Box live ... Those bastards!

Ummm, because. That, and I think for Soul Caliber II, Spawn is better than that what-it's-name from Tekken (Link beats them both though).

You have the console with the online gaming base. PS2 and GC will never even come close to it. Hands down.

And you have DOA:XBV! C' mon dude!

(personally, I think this generation of consoles suck. I'm going to wait for this next generation. The heat is on all three to really step it up. Hopefully the games will be good too!)

SC2 will be good, but it's only 1 compared to the other great fighting games PS2 has. (yes link does kick their ass)

And I have a cable modem so I use xbox live every once in a while. And that's the downside to the PS2 but I play enough MOG's on the PC though.

And I thought DOA:XBV wasn't all that good. It was fun for the first couple hours but after that, boring as hell.

Well, feel free to keep us posted on your decision. I feel for you though, when walking in best Buy or something and see those games you can't play and get drawn in... I'm quite tempted to pick up a GC for Mario and Zelda now. It's a good thing I'm strict on myself financially!

I personally think that of the games coming out for all systems over the next 18 months, that the games for the Box have the most potential up-side.

Right now for the video game industry it's the slow period ... It will be picking up a bit for the GBA ... But for the other systems its a bit slow ... Most of the companies want to hold off putting out games til E3 in May ...

IMO ~ If you have the bucks ... & really want a PS2 ... Keep the X-Box & buy a 2nd system ...
