I've seen that Matrix trailer a few times.. I shouldn't have but I read a spoiler to the movie so I kind of have an idea of what #2 and #3 are about.. I can't wait!

I'm a game away from another run at the playoffs in NFL 2K3.. This time around I have a 11-3 record, but that may be 11-4 once I finish my game up that is currently in progress..

I can feel it.. this is the season I win the Superbowl!

God damn my friend at BBV, gave me the fellowship instead of TTT for xbox. And the fellowship sucks ass right now. And already beat Panzer Dragoon Orta. Only took about 3 hours too. True I didn't unlock everything, but that's pitaful.

Okay I finally got around to beating FFX. Damn what a kick ass game. Graphics are awsome, the battle system rocks, and I'll be damned if that isn't one of the best story lines I've ever seen. FFX kicks total ass. Damn what an ending.

I got notice that DSL is now suddenly available to my area. We called Ameritech to cancel voice mail and get more info on DSL... they said if we sign up for a 1yr contract, we can get it for $29.99 a month.

HOLY CRAPOLA!!!! WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! :-D

Although I did hear from a friend that 2 people he knows said they suddenly were available, and SBC/Ameritech even scheduled installation times/dates, but then called back to say "It was a mistake... you are not eligible... sorry". (not an exact quote). I reeeeeeeeally hope this is not the case for me...

Anyways... I'll update more when I have more information.

Ouch! I hope you have better luck than those people did. I am so spoiled with my cable modem, I don't think I could ever go back to a dialup service.

Does that price of 29.99 include a ISP? If it does, that is a great deal.

Yeah... I hope I have better luck than they also.

I still have to call them and ask them all of the pertinent information for the install. I'll probably buy the equipment & such separate and do a wireless network, and just follow their guidelines from there. I'm also going to ask them - are you SUUUUURE that I'm available? And if I'm not... can you promise me credit in the future when it DOES become available? (or something like that)

Also... I'm not sure if they said if that includes the ISP or not... hopefully it does. *crosses fingers*

So we'll see. Hopefully I can make that call today or tomorrow, and I'll have more info by the end of the week.

Although I had to sign up for caller id and waiting to get it at that rate at the time. Sounds like they're offering it by itself now huh?

A few years back my only choice was DSL and it was a tiered system. The more you paid per month, the faster your connection. Also, I had to have a separate ISP.
When I moved across town, I had the option of cable or DSL. Cable gave me a connection about 3 times faster and it included an ISP. The choice for me was clear. We have 2 pc's an Xbox and a ReplayTV wired up and it works great.

We've always had those features... we just got rid of VoiceMail 98+... but we wanted to keep those features. So I don't know if we have to have them or not, but we want them, so it won't matter to us either way.

Hopefully I'll be able to call them tomorrow and get more info... especially about hardware costs and ISP additional costs. Most likely, I'll be setting up a wireless network in my home with my own equipment... so we'll see....

Good luck getting that wireless network hooked up. I haven't been able to get connection sharing to work with my SBC DSL over a simple crossover cable between 2 computers.

They try to sell you network setup equipment of their own.

Getting back to games... I'm in the Superbowl baby!! It only took about six seasons, but I'm there!

Beat the Steelers in the divisional round.. Then the Patriots in the AFC final.. The game vs the Pats was close until the final quarter when my defence finally decided to intercept a pass or two.

Now it's a rematch of the 2000 Superbowl.. Rams vs Titans.. I'll be playing that a little later today.

The $50 setup is waived if you sign up online.

I'll most likely be purchasing the Wireless Access Point/Router and Wireless NIC's on my own, from a trusted vendor... then have them give me the Self-install packet, then setup the network on my own.

Sorry, no I haven't played it yet. I remember seeing it in the store last time I was shopping for a game, but I didn't buy it (and haven't downloaded it yet). Can you download the demo from the Enclave website? Maybe I'll check it out and take a look at it...

Enclave has it's problems. But it's good for some occasional hack n slash fun. Doesn't top Gauntlet(the original) or Diablo though. But I picked it up for $20 on the xbox.

I have tried Enclave ... *shrugs* ... Like TallOne said "Enclave has it's problems."

I prefer Dungeon Seige (PC) or Baldur's Gate (X-box/PS2/PC) ... I have not played the PC version of Baldur's Gate.

Right now ...

Still play the heck out of Ty the Tazmanian Tiger. I just found the codes that shows where all the objects are. But not the boxes & baskets that you can break open.

I just picked up Devil May Cry 2 ... I lent it out to a co-worker ... Poor guy didn't reserve his copy ... I felt sorry for him, but then again I have games that I am in the middle of & not going to get to play DMC 2 any time soon ... So why not let someone else have some fun with it.
