Its a sony Vaio FX240 notebook...i hope it would run Doom 3, i know its run every other game i've tried to play on there. I dont have a Pentuim 4 though, i only have a 3. that might not be a good thing.

Ya know, I came across an interesting website the other day. OverClocked Remix is pretty nifty in that this site has remixes of game music. Not just wussy little blips and bloops and shit, but legit music that some would not guess was game music. There's some good stuff, and some not so good stuff, but the good stuff is great. Personal favorite right now is "CrystallineCaverns" by McVaffe.

Just thought I'd share with you guys.

If I remember, "Tron Deadly Disks" and "Discs of Tron" were one and the same, except the latter was for the Atari 2600 instead of the Intellivision (we had Intellivision back in the day, so that's why I referenced it as such. I'm sure others see it the other way around).

Bionic Commando was a NES game. Innovative because your guy couldn't jump - but you had to use his bionic arm to swing across ledges and stuff. Innovative and totally fun. Emu it if it piques your curiosity.

DOOM III!!!! I'm going to wait for that puppy to come out and get a new computer for it. Online or not - it's gonna be sweet. I loved Doom and Doom II, still have them ready to go on my computer, with my own levels (.wads) and whatnot. I read a preview of it in a gaming magazine (I forget which). Looked incredibly sweet. All the original baddies are in it. The demons, lost souls, footsoliders, imps, and yes! The Barons of Hell!!! Even the Spider Demon is expected to make a cameo. Graphics look phenominal, and so long as they don't overly complicate the gameplay - It'll be on my "Kill-own-mother-to-get" list.

It also previewed the upcoming Tron 2.0 game based off the movie by the same name. I should just bought the magazine - it was a good one.

Hey - did Toe Jam & Earl III come out for the XBox yet? If so, any reviews (Pez?). I also heard somewhere (here?) that Sega is dropping support for the XBox. It would make sense since the XBox hasn't secured itself a place with the japanese gamers. But is there any confirmation to this?

And yeah, OCRemix is a neato place. vgmusic.com used to be better, but some losers kept hacking the site so they've taken it down for the time being. But - if you liked MegaMan 2, d/l all the songs from AE on the site. They're phenomenal. (Start with Soap&Water (Bubbleman) if you're unsure.)

AE has a lot of good MM stuff, but I liked some of the other reditions. Personal favorite would have to be "Hot Flashes Man" by djpretzel.

Why are you asking Pez for reviews...she even admitted to me that I'm her source for gaming news. I read that T&E3 is decent...if you really liked the others, you'll probably like this one. Probably best to rent it first, then you'll know if it'd be a worthy purchase.

Now "Adventure" WAS a cool game! I beat it on levels 1 and 2, but never on level 3... I always got screwed by the bat taking my bridge to some other screen, or get cornered by the dragons when I had the White Key... wtf... i just couldn't win. Gotta love the winning screen, though... flashing technicolor and triumphant music...

I must have had that game down pat. Could play it for hours on any level. I just wished it had more levels at the time.

If you want to see a preview of HotD movie ... its on the House of the Dead 3 game for the X-Box. Its not the final trailer but it give you the gist of what the movie is gonna look like.

T&E3 is out for the X-box. I have not had a chance to try it yet.
I don't think that Sega is gonna be dropping thier support for the system (my personnal opinion). It would not be a smart move on their part.

Agreed. MS has the deepest pockets around. Short term issues are irrelevant to the big picture.

I do play video games. So I do have my own reviews. You just said yourself that you get yours from a magazine. Everyone has thier own source. Whether it be from actually playing the game, reading a magazine, or asking a friend. Don't make me have to beat up my best source.

If anything Sega is stepping up it's support of X-Box and pumping more R&D money into games for the system and reportedly into X-Box 2.

flawed you should try this website it updates the doom and doom II graphics into 3d (with it still having that doom feel) ... you can even use your own wads for it i believe

I figured to ask Pez since she works at a game store (if I've been following this thread correctly). If so, she would likely know whether a game comes out or not. Maybe she's seen it running if it were out and drew a observer's conclusion to it.

Are ToeJam and Earl talking in this one? I hope not. Aside from the occasional remarks ("Money!"), I liked that they just grooved in their first mission. TJ&E2 blew donkey balls so far as I was concerned.
