Honey, I know exactly how you feel. All day I was on and off line hoping to find someone to talk to. Trying to keep myself busy. I had no luck.

Heh... same here, I'll probably be the same today too... it's amazing that I actually WANT to go to work (but with it being in a computer shop... why wouldn't I want to go in? )

Now as for Kenny... He just... didn't have any sort of style, he wasn't a powerhouse, and he definatly wasn't a fast guy, and there is no way he was a mat technician. He just kinda... didn't do much in the ring in the way of wrestling... Blackman did well in the ring, he made the transition well (but his first angle sucked, which kinda killed him for a while).

He never should have been fighting Michael's for the World title that time (at the Degeneration X PPV I think)... I think the only reason the build up was so good was because of the whole DX thing.

So erm... yeah I'm a big hater of Ken Shamrock... I'll take someone like RVD, who's a good all rounder (he can go powerful, technical or high flying... what's not to like?)

Ken was great, cause he played the loose cannon. I loved it. Hell, he would STILL destroy 95% of the talent pool...i'd kill to see him and Angle in a shoot though. That would be fuckin insane...

Oh I don't doubt that he could kick people's ass in a shoot, but as a worker, he was never any good.

The big difference was that when he could go shoot, he was good... but when he actually had to work in the ring... he sucked, and because he couldn't go shoot in WWF, he was basically knackered. As for the Loose Cannon angle... he should take more than one page from Pillman's book... now THAT'S how to play a loose cannon.

In fact... thinking about it now his best matches wern't with Gunn, they would have been with Owen Hart (when he had them) as Owen was able to make even the bottom rung jobber look good in the ring. (R.I.P. Owen).

I dunno... I never liked his fued with Rocky either... but then I'm not a Rock than either. I can't respect a man who insists on using a sharpshooter as a trademark... when he can't even perform said move properly...

Rock was a great talker on the mic... but that is about it really... Ken... he just annoyed me... in essence he's a brawler, not a wrestler... his style just doesn't entertain me.

Talking of mic skills, nowadays wrestlers have to have mic skills to become the top dogs. Rockie is a prime example; sure he's a decent wrestler and can take a fall really well, but his mic skills are amazing, and he really knows how to milk the crowd. Look at someone like RVD. He'll never be champion because he sucks on the mic. Even though he's a brilliant wrestler, he'll never be as big as great wrestlers like Y2J, Benoit or Angle have become in their short tenure in the WWE.

They should start matching up Benoit and Y2J again. Those guys work really well together(remember the ladder match of Royal Rumble? Just awesome)

This is great LD! Funny as hell!

And the truth is it will end up happening.. Guys like Angle and Booker can't help but get over, Jericho is just too funny on the mic, the Guerrero's together make for a great tag team... And now people are really starting to get tired of Hunter's watered down "jr. nature boy" shtick.

As for Ken.. I loved his feud with the Rock, he made for a great loose cannon.

I don't know what that was all about...I think I was gone a bit too long and this wrestling tangent has all but taken over. Games people, games!
Just to get us back on track, I played Bloodrayne and Red Faction 2 today. Bloodrayne makes a good rental...a bit too clunky for my tastes, and Red Faction 2 is very good. There are a few things I don't like very much, like taking out small robotic things that are shooting at you...it's kind of a pain in the ass. Also, I never knew soldiers could take a clip and a half of SMG ammo and keep coming....learn something new everyday I guess. Other than that though, it's a very solid game.
Also, I read a lot about a game called Starcraft Ghost...if it's anywhere near as good as they portrayed it to be, it could be one of the best action games.....ever.

The previews for Smackdown: Shut Your Mouth look awesome!! If anything was gonna make me a PS2 owner, that would be it.

I haven't heard anything on RAW 2 for Xbox... It is supposedly going to be out for the winter season but there is nothing even close to up on the THQ web site. They better come out with something soon.. and they better make it XBL capable damnit! That would rock the house!

Now getting off the wrestling totally..

I'm not impressed with "Whacked" rented that today and it's been a waste of money... It's not even that much fun online.

Not played Mafia, but I've played GTA 3... it's just the same thing over and over again... great for a week or so, then massively boring.

Tekken 4 Kicks major Ass!!!!!!!!! i love the way the revamped the moves etc and the character detail is totally awesome, yes i will admit Innocent beat me down untill i got used to the controler settings, oh yea i grr them cause you cant set sidestep to the top L1-R1buttons etc like in tekken 3, but like always my boy Hwoarang is back and a major bad ass, (ok i am a little partial cause he fights with ITF Tae Kwon-Do and i'm a 1st degree blackbelt in that style) but i must have this game after i got all the others :-D

Mafia got a 9.3 out of a 10 for gamestop, and is alot like GTA 3 in some places of the game. Heard it was a really really good game, not that well known, but good.
