I have to admit that I am rather disappointed in X-Box live. ( We got our Beta kit the other day ). One of the games they are really hyping for the system ( Re-Volt ) if I understand correctly is not even going to be around much longer. Why pick this game to showcase X-Box live then ? Check out the gaming kiosks in the stores and you will see what I am talking about. And the football game just sucks.


Even with all the server problems Sony is having over on the SOCOM server, I still enjoy SOCOM: US Navy Seals much more than any of the X-Box live games I have right now. I have not played Whacked yet, so I might be wrong. Unfortunately I don't think so though.

Alot of people think kingdom hearts is a kids game but it is not. Squaresoft made sure that the hardcore gamers would like it.

I was talking to my daughter yesterday about KH and she was swooning over the fact that Sepiroth (sp?) was in it.

I've not looked to closely at it though.

I was reading in the gameinformer magazine about Clocktower 3,and how its supposed to have pedophilia in it and more.

Why would you put that in a game?

I have the first game and it sucks anyway,so I dont see me buying number 3.

I have to admit that I am rather disappointed in X-Box live.

My friend got a beta kit for X-Box Live a few weeks back, and he was all hyped. I went over to check it out, and I just didn't see what he was so excited about. Oh wow it has a headset, oh wow you can play games against others online, and this is new?

The idea of playing games against total strangers has never appealed to me, and talking to strangers online just seems very freaky to me. Not to mention the fact that of the 50 or so football games my friend has played, he has had at least 30 of those games go unfinished because people quit the game, rather than lose the game. Some fun huh?

If I'm going to play a game online, I'll just play it on my PC, against people I know, using Roger Wilco. Battlefield 1942, NOLF2, UT/UT2k3 etc... are a blast with a group of 8 close friends and headsets.

Jesus Christ, i go to sleep, and i've got like 3 pages to read to catch up with...sheesh.

Just some quick thoughts...

Although i hate RPG's, i'm gonna pick up Kingdom Hearts. Even if its just to have it. I mean, seriously, any game with Pooh Bear in it will fucking RULE. (i'm such a loser, yes, i still like Pooh Bear, almost 20 years into my life.)

GoldenEye was a wicked great game, i liked the story mode the best though, but thats just me...running around, fraggin my friends was cool for a while, but after a bit, it got pretty boring.

Straw's hair is SOOOO friggin hot. Honestly, wow...it drives me nuts, i love it

The commercial for Vice City is friggin great, especially with the Flock of Seagulls song playing over it. Just so money, that game needs to hurry up and get here already.

I hate the fact that i have school today...all i wanna do is play video games and check the board.

Oh definitely, there are always games that are a blast to play online against total strangers. But would you want to talk to them?

Games like SOCOM are a prime example of online gaming at its best. X-Box Live is an example of online gaming at its freakiest.

Bob, I have never played x-box online yet so I can not say it's good or bad but I know were your comeing from. There are alot of games that I do not want to go online like final fantasy 11, but what can we do?

I was completely stumped when they made Phantasy Star Online...I can't imagine what Final Fantasy Online will be like. With the current glut of MMORPG's, could the market for FFO really be that great? Maybe it is, I don't really know.

When Inc. assholes sign to ps2 they have to say how many games they will do in a year. It maybe 3 or it maybe 5 but when they run out of ideas there fucked so we will have alot of 1st person shooters online.

Think of the gaming genre's that are under-represented these days. All because of fads pushed on us by the gaming industry. Consumer demand does play into this, but you are right, gaming developers decide the fads.

There are enough screen shots out, enough info floating around about this game that you can just TELL its gonna be fuckin great. I dont think anyone needs to play it to say its gonna be their favorite game. Personally, i'm feeling that way right now.

Diablo II was a great game...got bored with it real fast though.

Yes, Diablo II was a very big disappointment. Slightly improved graphics, and pretty much the same gameplay as Diablo. That's not a bad thing, but it wasn't anything new.

Man, tell me about it...drives me crazy everytime I see her.
And, I know what you mean, I go to work, come back and check my thread, and realize there's no way I can possibly catch up to 3 pages that happened when I was gone.
Anyway, GTA:VC will be one of the greatest games ever. Period. There are trailers available for download online, but I really have no idea where, as my PC is much too old to run them.
