The video game thread

Never played it. I did like NBA Street, and NFL Street a little.
DMC I never really got into. Seemed like the kind of game that horrible texters and little kids would really get into. And sufferers of ADD and ADHD, I would suppose.

I don't really like conventional sports games. They tend to be pretty boring. NBA Street, I liked, too. Haven't played the new one.

But yeah, FIFA Street 2 was pretty good, this new one fulfilled my high expectations.

I don't think I've played a conventional sports game since maybe NBA2K1 on Dreamcast. Man, those were the days.
The new NBA Street is pretty fun, if a little easy.

It's by BioWare, the same company that did Buldar's Gate, Knights of the Old Republic, Neverwinter Nights, and Jade Empire.

Sheesh, talk about tasty graphics... what a nice in game shot.

Anyone on here playing Call of Duty 4? I here that game is the shit. Im not playing anything that advanced my self. We (the kids that is) have a Wii and I play Resident evil 4 and Mario Galaxy... as for the PC, Im still playing Rainbow Six: Vegas and Silent Hunter 3 (which I must say still rocks... I love how mods can extend the payability of an already great game). I used to do alot of Nascar Racing 2003 but the franchise was purchased from Papyrus (the production company) and has pretty much since gone nowhere (there are no official servers any more). So lemme ask this as well.. whos playing what now?

That's Homecourt, right?

Yup.

I've started Mass Effect, but haven't played enough to be able to talk about it. There's a CoD4 thread around here somewhere, and a few of us enjoy talking about it. Rainbow Six was pretty great, I'm hoping they take notes from CoD4 with the next one though. The online leveling-up could use a shot of "how to do things better".

Well, I do PS3 with a 46" Sony XBR Bravia LCD. No sound system set up yet, but I haven't felt any urgent need to do so yet.

So, what type of set up do you guys play on?

The Wii is setup on a 32 in CRT and I play my PC games on a 20 in CRT moniter. I actually have my Kenwood surround system (with 250 watt sub) hooked to the PC via an Audigy platnum pro sound card. I also use an ATI X1950 video card to render stunning graphics.

I can't wait for street fighter 4 anyone an big fan of fighting games like myself.

Or anyone an import gamer here besides myself.

Yeah I used to play anything I could get my hands on, this is back when all the best games came straight from japan on bootleg. Now I usually go for games that offer control first (if a game is too twitchy I wont play it, if the charactors do not respond right...I wont play it), then story line (read this as playability), and lastly eye candy..(there are so many games that look great but play like shit).

I think Im pretty well past the fighting games myself, although a buddy and myself did have a great time with Tekkin 4.

Personally, I'm a big fan of Soulcalibur.
And Virtua Fighter is pretty fun too.
I had Virtua Fighter 3 for the Sega Saturn and loved that game...I never got to play VF4 though. Soul Caliber is a great franchise too, although the play is off balance.

The Witcher was great. Sadly, I played it before the latest patch came out, and it was a lag fest.

Still don't have an X-Box 360.

OH god another grammar freak, here we go again.

I hate it when people on an adult site want me to communicate in an adult manner. I want to read like an illiterate tweener for ever!

I never play PC games.
You need a 360 though. We could play Bomberman and shit.

Have I mentioned that I love you lately?

There are some good games that never come out for console, some genres play better with a mouse and keyboard, and the couch + TV isn't my favorite.

Did I say I wanted to sound that way 'for ever'? Typo! I meant 4evR.
