This weekend kicks off one of my favorite sports: COLLEGE FOOTBALL.

This year's national championship will be decided in the Fiesta Bowl in Tempe, Arizona and there is a lot of football to be played between here and there.

Any takers?

Is it too soon to talk yet?

There should be no debate here....Texas will win the National Championship. Check out their recruiting, and you will see what I mean. #1 in recruiting baby!!!! :)

I am waiting for the Official thread.

hey riff

Hey yourself. For a modest mouse, you sure know how to take the wind out of a guy's sails.

I suppose you are a Duke fan? LOL

I would love to see Florida State and Texas in the BIG game.

Thanks for playing.

Next?

:D

lol

Seriously, I don't get college football. There are some elite athletes that make elite programs dominate - all the time. Where's the fun?

I think that in the NFL, the talent is more level, thus making it more competitive.

I mean, who wants to watch Oklahoma spank Wake Forest 67-3?

Oklahoma has an easy schedule.

Texas has an incredibly hard schedule - playing KState and Nebraska on the road.

Florida will be recovering from the loss of Spurrier.

Nebraska doesn't have Crouch.

This should be an interesting year.

I think Colorado may surprise us again. But, I'm not putting money on anyone.

I would love to see Colorado come through. I am not a Big 12 guy but I have always liked the Buffs.

I think they got majorly fucked last year.

Well, that's fine. Go start a pro thread.

I am not a basketball fan. I don't give a shit about it. :)

I like pro ball, but I enjoy the college level more. Just the way I am.

Well, the NFL used to be a lot of fun to watch, but with there being no such thing as a "franchise team" these days, you may like a team, but you are actually just liking their name. Because every year, the good players are sought after by other teams, and well, $$$ rules. Free agency sucks.

cool beans. to each his own.

Fight on!! USC Trojans

Mighty Oregon. Oregon Ducks. Go Pac 10. Give us our respect. :)

Go Gonzaga!!!

Oh wait.. wrong college sport.

I don't follow C. Football much, but from what I have seen I think Oregon has a chance to make some noise myself. Onterrio Smith should be able to carry the major load of offence while the new QB gets settled in.

Another team I respect. Not to mention, they have the best uniforms in the business! :)

A little off to the side here, but one cool thing about college football is when you watch some team that has a freshman kid, right out of high school, and he shines....

and then you watch him go on to be a class act in the NFL.

As much as I hate the Gators, Emmitt Smith comes to mind.

In the 1988 Florida State - Florida matchup (FSU won 52 - 17) there were a phenomenal amount of guys that went on to great NFL careers: Emmit Smith, Deon Sanders, Marion Butts, and more.

Go 'Noles.

It'll be easier to pick who won't win the National Championship. I nominate TCU.

FINALLY!!!! It's time for football!!!

Yes, I am a woman, but I LOOOOVE college and pro football!! All I've had to entertain myself with lately is arena football, but it doesn't have the same effect as the "real" stuff!!!

I'm a huge SEC fan, but I have to say, I think Oklahoma will go all the way this year. They have a rather easy schedule and they have the talent. But, can't I always wish that Dennis Francione and the Alabama Crimson Tide can pull off an upset??????????

I hope this thread keeps going!!!!

Doesn't Colorado State kick off the action tonight???

I can't put any say out until I see something.

But,

If anyone watches a game at Spartan Stadium, my seat is right under the big-ass TV in the endzone. I'll be the chic with the green trenchcoat on ;)

GO CANES!!!!

NCAA Football should be interesting this year...........

Could Texas pull it out? How about Oregon? FSU? underdog (according to lots of people now the Spurrier is gone) Florida? How about Oklahoma? Can my beloved Hurricanes repeat?

The Thundering Herd!

North Dakota State Bison!!!

NCAA Division II
