The Uncertain Condition Of The American Left

These recent regional Demfuck wins i already blue states are small, expected, and ultimately unimportant in the national swing of politics.

Meanwhile, the leftards act like something miraculous has happened.

Calm down, for a second, Skippy.

The turnout and electoral margins of the Democratic victories yesterday, in conjunction with national favorability polling, demonstrate one thing very clearly: America is soundly rejecting Trumpism and the Republican party. I appreciate that those of you on the right are in cope mode—it is hard to get so utterly trounced as you did. But no matter how hard you cope, the tide has turned. You've lost independents and the Dem base is fired up. That won't stop a year from now—so long as Trump keeps being Trump, it will only grow. And that's all there is to say about that.

Let's review, shall we:

* Virginia House of Delegates election
Democrats increased their majority from 51 to 64 seats (a gain of 13 seats). This is the largest Democratic majority in the Virginia House since 1987.

* VA governor
Abigail Spanberger won by a blowout of 15 points.

* CA Proposition 50
Likely to cancel out the Texas gerrymander for the House. Won by around 30 points with a near-presidential-year turnout despite the prop being the only item on the ballot. This huge win will give cover to other Blue states thinking about changing their maps to balance out Red state gerrymandering and voter suppression.

* PA Supreme Court retention election
Keeping the three Justices, again by a wide margin, will likely impact the 2028 election.

* New Jersey governor
Mikie Sherrill won by an historic 13 points despite polling saying it was tight.

* NYC Mayor
Zohran Mamdani won with a majority of the vote with another historic turnout against a political dynasty, giving Democrats a template for firing up their local base.

* GA Public Service Commission
Dems picked up two seats on this vital commission, each with huge blowouts. These are the first statewide Democratic wins in Georgia since 2006.

* Mississippi state senate
Dems flipped two Senate seats, breaking the GOP supermajority in that state, again with blowout numbers.

So yeah, turns out these wins were actually huge, historic, unexpected, and ultimately of significant impact to national politics.

Cope if you can.
