Hey folks,

You might have already had one in your life, you may want one...but let's just say that for discussion sake, you were granted a two week honeymoon given to you by your in-laws to anywhere, anyplace, moeny no object. Where would you go and what would you do?

And if it is two weeks in Motel 6 because all you need is a bed and a phonebook for delivery that's okay too. lol

Let's hear it! :D

Honeymoons and in-laws require getting married..

why in the hell would I go and do something so stupid?

;)

Say it was the mutual friends you share pooling their ill gotten gains from selling your nude pictures over the Internet to send you and your sig other anywhere as a "honeymoon" for finally moving in together.

Jo <Yeesh, have to be fairly vague on this>

I would go someplace easy that has ton of things to do. Like a cruise to Alaska. It is a all in one deal and you will always have something to do.

I went to Caracas the first time; I think for version 2.0 I'd like a villa in the south of France and a 911 C4 cabriolet for touring.

Lance

Edited to ask: Can I just have the villa and car and go by myself?

Tough Question

I think it is a tough question myself. I don't know enough about cruises other than two weeks with Norwalk virus and a crew that is first overboard at the sign of trouble is good. Europe would be very interesting. They have Disney there, right? :D

C'mon people, how about some ideas? :p

A cabin in the middle of nowhere with indoor plumbing, central heat and air, and a very big bed.

If I were ever silly enough to get married again, I think a private yacht and a south pacific island would figure prominantly in my dream honeymoon.

It would also depend on where you lived, time of year and all that. Like I would say Las Vegas would be great if you like that kind of thing. I like the Cabin idea but if she is the kind who has to be doing something all the time try a big city. Do you like outdoors? The Grand Canyon is great you can take a train in from Phoenix airport and even walk to the bottom of it if you want.

first time i spent 3 days in san francisco and 3 in carmel (sp?)

second time i spent a week in hawaii. both were great and afforded lots of activities and fairly romantic settings.

there won't be a third but with someone else paying for it i'm thinking new york city and taking in some shows might be pretty fun. or paris.

Alaska if the wedding is in summer and Hawaii if the wedding is in winter. A spring wedding might mean Germany.

I have not been to Alaska, but I have been to Hawaii. I always get a kick out of the honeymoon couples there. Germany, too, is romantic and one of my favorite places on earth. It would be tough to decide- all three are at the top of my list for locations for future visits, honeymoon or not.

Tuscany would be the epicenter. A modest villa, a good map of Italy, and a sense of being able to focus on one person would be all that was required.

OK, not quite all - it would require identifying the person and persuading them to come along, but I am not as opposed to getting married again as some folks here sound, it's just not looking very likely.
