Let's say a worker used to paint cars by hand, now they have robots to do it and he sits in the control Booth I could see that being worth more than painting them by hand but if the productivity just went up 100 fold the worker doesn't deserve a 100-fold increase because of the employer's capital.

The Senate Health Committee approved the measure on a 5-2 vote after a nearly three-hour hearing, but Democrats and Republicans alike signaled unease with the major question still unanswered in the legislation: how the program would be paid for.

The bill, SB 562, would establish a publicly run healthcare plan that would cover everyone living in California, including those without legal immigration status. The proposal would drastically reduce the role of insurance companies: The state would pay for all medical expenses, including inpatient, outpatient, emergency services, dental, vision, mental health and nursing home care.

The measure says the program would be funded by "broad-based revenue," but does not specify where that money would come from.

Agree with your point about automation. However, it might even lead to a reduced wage for the person sitting in the control room monitoring the automatic equipment designed to reduce the cost of human labor and reliability.

That way of conceptualising their politics (communist instead of liberal or even globalist ) makes more sense to me, and it makes me understand the contradictions in their political platforms.

Now give me a bit of leeway when you read these, because I'm not very well informed in politics.

1. I'm for universal healthcare and affordable education and fair salaries instead of corporations exploiting blue collar workers to the bone. I consider these to be liberal goals
- And these goals are present in the Democrat's platform too. Which is cool

2.But these are at odds with their other goals which I consider to be of a commie mentality and anything But liberal:
- a subtle attack on the middle class (lowered incomes) in the name of equality,
- bringing down the salaries of the blue collar american citizen by accepting illegal alien workers in the name of equality and anti- racism
- and so on
