I've only been writing erotica a couple of months, but I keep running into and gettng hyperfocused on the same trope. I didn't know it was a fantasy of mine before but I seem to love the idea of characters tricking each other. Particularly with word games or similar. I've spent an inordinate amount of time writing out cleverly worded contracts (that surely even my lizard brain knows wouldnt stand up in a court of law) or thinking of very exact ways Dom/mes can make promises which are, somehow, worse than nothing. I've had to ban myself from it as I get completely carried away with something that, at best, will be incidental to most readers.
V quick example: a recent story I worked on had hubby make 'rules' for his wife about what she could/couldn't do on her first, second & third dates with male companions Then for ~complex plot reasons requiring excessive exposition~ he thought she was one date behind where she was - so date 1 in his mind was really date 2, and he was always giving her more permission than he realised. I have no idea why that turns me on so much.
Dodgy consent practices notwithstanding, does anyone share this interest? Or maybe know what it's called? xx
