I never thought I'd live to see the day when a team like the Cowboys would release the NFL's all-time leading rusher when he obviously still has a year or two left in him. Now the rumor is that Emmitt may go to the Redskins. That's blasphemy.

My hockey comments....

What a wild fight at the Ottawa-Toronto game...Darcy Tucker got a 5 game suspension for starting it and Tie Domi got 3 games.

Was also watching the Dallas Stars beat the Chicago Blackhawks 7-4 on ESPN2 last night. It was a sloppy game and one of the commentators remarks in the 3rd period was priceless. He said, "This game isn't an oil painting; it's a house painting and we are getting lots of paint on the glass!" I loved it! LOL

Yeah, it was all a slary cap move too, EJ...Buffalo re-signed Charles Johnson to 'replace' him, which isn't going to happen. Atlanta got the best of the deal....all Buffalo did was clear salary cap room so they could go after defensive help. AA

Oregon City High School (my alma mater) won the Oregon state girl's basketball championship for the 3rd straight time tonight and the 9th time in the past 12 years. They have now won 65 straight games instate (only game they lost was to Lynnwood, CA in December), ranked number one in Oregon and number six nationally in USA Today. Go Pioneers! OK--enough of my soapbox drivel...back to REAL sports...AA

Unbelievable championship week...no less than 18 number one seeds have been upset! The NCAA Selection show on ESPN tomorrow afternoon should be interesting and provide a few surprises plus a bit of grumbling from those who didn't make it.
At least one Oregon team made the tourney, U of O Ducks and possibly one Washington school, Gonzaga Bulldogs, although they may be iffy. March Madness is in full swing! AA
