I didn't get to see the game, but I turned it on just before leaving for work and they were tied and it was almost the end of regulation play. I am glad that they at least held on and didn't get beat in overtime, of course a win would have been nice!!

The way I understand NHL point system...if the teams are tied at the end of regulation, they both get a point for getting to overtime. The Winner can get another additional point...go figure! I am not a big fan of it, because it IS confusing!

You are correctomundo, AA. Maybe, I'm just an old fart. It seems to me, if you tie, you tie. Why should you get two points for winning in overtime? I like the old system better.

Colorado won their 12th game, beating the overpriced Rangers 4-3.

My Bolts beat the Islanders 3-2. Now, they've got a murderous schedule coming up. I guess we'll see what they're made of.

After being winless in six games the Lightning finally win two in a row. They're playing great defense, but are having a hell of a time scoring goals.

And, yet another rip off in the BCS. Oklahoma loses their butts to Kansas State, USC beats AA's Beavers , yet it's Oklahoma and LSU in the Rose Bowl for the championship.

I think USC deserves to be in there--OSU had the number one defense in the Pac-10 and SC shredded it to the tune of 52 points. They need to go to a playoff system like the 1-AA, Divison 2, Division 3, and NAIA schools do...then there is NO doubt who the national champ is. BCS is a formulation of a computer geek who probably cares little about football...a sick joke of the NCAA.


BTW...the Stars were getting hammered by the Mighty Ducks 3-0 in the second period when I couldn't stand to watch it anymore. Dallas was turning the puck over and making more DUMB/POOR plays than a junior team. (Sorry toni, but they looked HORRIBLE!)
