The Taliban never attacked the US. Their main mistake was thinking that allowing Al-Queda to set up shop in their country would protect them from the Northern Alliance terrorists.

The people in Afganistan view them as freedom fighters. We need to accept that fact and work with them as needed rather then making up enemies. Let bygones be bygones and Put America's Interests First, not the interests of feminists and foreign "allies."
