The speed of light may have changed?

This is really a big deal. It means that may not be any constints in the universe, or that we live in a 14 or 28 deminisional universe. we have a couple of pretty smart science folks arround, may be they can tell us what it all means in short sentences, with small words.

Unbound universe and the speed of thought. But the speed of light isn't constant, it depends on the medium it's passing through. They've created a fourth state of matter which basically slows the speed of light because the atoms are so super condensed that they lose their individual properties and act like a single substance.

The Speed of Light is constant IN A VACCUM, which is not the case here. This is not new information. In fact, it was known by Einstein. The only thing new is that we've been able to slow light down so well.

What's special about the speed of light is not that it's constant, but that 186,000 miles per second is the limit. That hasn't changed.
