They seem to be polar opposites - but are they? Both envoke strong emotions, for good or bad, in the people around the event. Both reminds us how precious our lives truely are. Both are tramatic - driving all involved into depression or uplifting them to joyous celebration... sometimes both for the wrong reasons.

Do you really want to bring another child into this world? Do you have enough faith in humanity to stay in it?

I've wondered a bit on that topic as well. I had a really rough childhood and I'm still waiting for life to compensate me for all my troubles. I'm not going to being any other life into this world until I'm sure it will be a life worth living.

I'm also really confounded by the fact that every person seems doomed to make the same mistakes that everyone before them has already done. Why don't we listen when someone says not to touch the hot pot or you will get burned? I want to devote my time to solving the mysteries of life, but when I have the answers, who will truly listen?

I have brought a child into this world, two in fact, and I've stayed in humanity on many occasions despite an overwhelming desire to ditch. I regret none of it, life is what you make of it. Not to pick on Gamelover, but waiting for something to happen will leave you disappointed every time.

Repeating mistakes is part of the cycle. It isn't your life until you live it for yourself.

Can you think of a time in history that was a good time to bring a child into the world? Somewhere there has been war, or rumors thereof, famine or personal heartbreak to hearld the arrival of a new life.

Black_Bird you have the key, faith and hope.

Birth The beggining of life

Death The ending of life

sounds simple.. but we can says Death is the only guartee in life that we have..

And Birth is the mircle of life that we enjoy

Sometimes it takes a little pessimism to make a miracle happen.

That miracle: Realizing that there is hope.

*Nods* ...but when one gets thinking about it, it isn't so simple.

... but when one is finishing thinking about it, it is once again simple. Why is that?

I believe because we are human and we have emotions we make it diffucult.

*Nods*

I think it's because we feel we have to catagorize... Logic is one of the few tools that we possess over animal. As children, we don't understand logic, so everything is simple... as adults, we do, so everything is complex... Once we stop using logic - things become simple again.

And that ^^^ is me making something more complex then it needs to be. ;)

Thats what makes humans so great .. we all have our own way of being ourselves.. But our biggest problems is acceptance

Well, that goes back to my question of whether or not the existance of our own mortality contributes to the differences in our personalities. We tend to depict "immortals" as having very little personality - being very alien from our own way of thinking... *shrugs*

As for acceptance... yes... *that* is one big problem.

I think what it comes down to do we accept our selves as we are in this life or do we go on wonder what we couldv'e done.

Eh... its all fear. Once you get past the fear, you can accept yourself, others, what is and what will be. But most people dont' get that far.

very true!

Oh! shit I better stop with my bad grammer someone might think I have brains after all.

But on the up side of it all, We all have enough emotions and feeling to keep us all in doubt , and keep us wondering for the rest of our lives
