Well, aren't you special. At least on Literotica. But nobody wanted to read your stories when you posted them on LustyLibrary, now did they. You were a nonentity. Your fan base on Literotica is mostly smoke and mirrors. Scouries has the real fan base on this site.

Dear Scrabbled and Scouries et al,

Being a legend in your own mind doesn't mean you have a fan base. I just checked the favorites portal. Where are you? Yes, way down there. Your much ballyhooed numbers are unsubstantiated for the most part.

You are not the most popular writer on Lit, nor are you the most read. I don't think the readers could give a crap about you. How many nominations did you receive for the year end contest? Subtracting your own, you had none. Where were your legions of adoring fans?

It's one thing to pimp your own work, but when you start impuning the integrity of other writers around here, it's time to stand up and tell you to FUCK RIGHT OFF!

Is it a coincidence that no sooner than I write a few comments on this thread, but I get a ton of trolls? Hmmm....makes one wonder, doesn't it?

Wow, thanks guys, I feel like such a damsel in a dress...I mean distress. Scribblydoo (cause he reminds me of Scrappy Doo, all bark, very very little bite and always yapping up nonsense) can write whatever he thinks about me. Being a nonentity at Lusty Library really did not bother me all that much. Some places aren't a fit, and it wasn't the place for me. But here and on the other two sites I write for, I do pretty good. I'm happy here and much happier not to be at that other site.

So let him throw that in my face if he wants, I think I'll survive the pain of it all. Besides, he's beginning to sound like a broken record.

Well, I was going to submit a story at Lusty Library, but I wasn't comfortable with their terms and conditions, so decided against submitting anything there.

It might depending how many voices populate said mind. We've met two already. There could be thousands more.

Please excuse the pointlessness of this post. Seems I need some sleep.

ROTFLMAO!!!

Those ratings are about as "real" as phony baloney.

Do the math. Let's take Heaven in Her Eyes Ch. 16 4.91 rating/91 votes

5 votes = 88
4 votes = 3
No 1, 2, or 3 votes
That's how you get a 4.91 rating on 91 votes

Some authors get all the low votes removed (even some 4 votes), and some authors don't.

Well, Scouries, did you ever think of the possibility that her story didn't get any 1, 2 or 3 votes...well, unless you personally trolled her? Somehow that wouldn't surprise me.

Well, gosh, so maybe this whole site is set up as a conspiracy against your lord and master. His good votes are removed, and other authors' bad votes are removed, and the only way we can tell is if they have highter scores. How nice it must be for you to have a world view where all of the objective evidence can be explained so conveniently by "secret" machinations on the part of the sites' owners. On the other hand, it is nice to see you laughing so much. Do you have any ass left, or have you laughed it all off by now?

Someone mentioned unverified numbers, taking a darn low shot at poor me and trying somehow to cast doubt on my status as a best selling author. It’s an interesting hypothesis but I think most would agree that the author who has had the two most read stories on Literotica over the last two years could arguably call himself number one.

For verified and audited numbers simply follow these links –

Top 500

Most Read

And then the dishonesty of this person to use success in contests as a measure of an authors worth, especially given that he himself has eschewed entering contests because of their unfairness. Tsk, tsk, tsk!

And FYI: “Daddy”, I whispered, the most read story of 2006, will probably receive its five hundred thousandth ( yes 500,000) visitor sometime this weekend! It may also receive its seven thousandth vote this weekend!

I made the mistake of thinking you were quasi-intelligent.

*sigh*

Views don't mean shit. So someone opened your story, so what. They may also have back-clicked at the first "I'm cuuuuuuummmmmmmmmiinnnnngggg." It doesn't mean they actually read any of it past that. It certainly doesn't mean you're Mr. Popularity, although, if it makes you feel better to think that, by all means, continue.

*pats you on the head*

Bless your little stupid heart. You just can't help it, can you?

As for the rest:

Dear Jim,

I was excited when you started this thread so many weeks ago. We all were. By we I mean all forty-one members of the ‘Boise Women’s Erotic Story Reading Club’. We so enjoyed the reading you gave us last September. And we’ve all looked forward to getting even more insights into your stories and your life.

And you asked them so politely Jim. Right in your first post. PLEASE DO NOT POST ON THIS THREAD. As plain as day! I’ll tell you Mr. Scouries, everyone in our neck of the country was able to understand exactly what you meant. Why couldn’t they?

They’ve tried to ruin it Jim. Ruin it for not only you but for your fans everywhere. Do you think its just jealousy?

Do you know what Millie Foster said the other day Jim? You must remember her, she was the one who baked the brownies the day you visited. Short blond hair…in her late twenties. Buxom. Anyway, Millie suddenly spoke up, and that’s rare for her, she usually pretty quiet at the meetings.

But she just blurted it out, “You know girls, not one of these so called critics has ever written a book in the top five hundred, not one.”

Well, let me tell you, we were flabbergasted Jim, and in fact I for one could hardly believe it. But we went right on-line and checked Jim. And she was right. Not one of these so called experts has written a best seller! Not that unfriendly Indian, not that man from the swamp, not that communist from Texas, not that man who likes to beat girls, not that sourwitch person, or that black and blue cherry woman and not even one of those nice Kitty sisters.

We do like Danielle though. She’s sweet. She’s the only other Literotica author besides you who took the time to come out and give us a talk. She’s very pretty too. And we love reading her stories! Mark my words, that girl will be famous one day. And rightly so. But she definitely shouldn’t waste her valuable time in petty arguments with oily scribblers – we all think it’s beneath her.

So outside of her, and you did make an exception and say she was allowed to post, we all think they’re just a bunch of poor sports, old grumps who wish they could write as well as you.

So we sent a letter to those Manu and Laurel people today Jim (what country do they come from anyway, that Manu has a very odd name, is he a Gypsy?). Anyway we sent them a petition signed by all forty-one club members asking those people to take action and suspend the posting privileges of anyone who continues to disobey you.

Don’t let them get you down Jim, we all still love you,

Cathy Wagoner (and all forty-one of your Boise fans) XOXOXO

I do also want to enter on this thread a poignant plea I received from a distraught ‘scouries’ fan and reader last night, an e-mail that is typical of many I’ve received over he last week or so:

Official Grand-High Poobah of Literotica.
[/size]

Hehe. So now I get a not-so-subtle, attempt-at-wit, nickname. Aw, it's almost cute. Reminds me of those occasions when one somehow vexes a small child, and the child in question will stomp and yell "I don't like you". I suppose that's what I get for filling my insomniac hours by picking on the deluded.

Anyhow, I guess that's 43 voices accounted for in that imaginary wold of yours now? That's lovely. After all, I'm sure you too deserve to have people that can actually bear extended periods of time with you--even if they're all in your head. They are quite right right about my never writing a best-seller. Since this is a free site as many have pointed out before, nothing I wrote was ever a best-seller indeed. They only difference is that I never made the claim that I was, unlike you.

Oh, well. It's vacation here, so it's nice to have something to waste away a few idle minutes on occasion, and I must thank you for always being there to provide a good laugh.

Well, you still have a ways to got before you can claim to be number one. That's the funny thing about numbers, you can always twist them to suit your own purposes. Your story is still a long way down the ladder before it can be the top story on the site.

You're the one that has eluded to having a huge fan base, where are they? Why haven't they sent you to the top of the Favorites Portal? Why didn't any of them nominate you?

I personally don't want to be nominated, and I have declined every nomination made for me, or for my work both here at Lit, and at another site that I have since left. I don't have an ego to fuel.

As Ms. Cloudy mentioned, views don't mean a thing. I noticed something when I went into the Incest/Taboo category, your two stories are conviently placed at the top of the first page. I think this is the secret to your success. The score on your top-rated certainly wouldn't be what would I describe as even moderately successful. I wonder how many of the views are actual reads?

I rarely talk about the numbers for my own work, but you asked once about all of Montana Summer, the totals are well into the 7 digit range.

Well Scouries, I see your story "Family Secrets" is in the #49 position on today's New list. You cracked the top 50!!! Moving up in the Lit world aren't we now? Little Miss Almost Perfect Rating must have put in the good word for you with the powers that be. All the brown-nosing by you and your fan club is definitely paying off. Literotica's most popular author (you) certainly deserves to be treated like a (drama) queen, much like those twisted Kitten sisters. Although I think maybe we should have a vagina check on drksideof themoon because we could be talking triplets here. Why Scouries, you keep kissing ass and I predict you soon will have a 4.90 rating too!

Writing long lived stories or threads because..

...I feel more alive when I’m writing than I do at any other time—except when I’m making love. Two things when you forget time, when nothing exists except the moment—the moment of writing, the moment of love. That perfect concentration is bliss.” ---Mary Sarton.

Regards, caprine

So, now I'm the man who likes to beat girls? Hmmm...I thought that was a whip, not a club.

I'm at least as close to having a bestseller as scouries, truth be told. All I've seen from him is pure stroke that lacks true literary merit. I have yet to see any sci-fi and other interesting social satire that might have some quality worthy of publication and sales. Not that stroke is bad, but to claim to be a bestseller on the basis of cliche incest and cuckold tales is rather dubious at best.
