There's a movement to allow checkout operaters to refuse to serve you if you're on your phone.
What do you think? Should this be allowed?
My view is - since I conduct most of my business by phone, I should be served while I am on my phone because that's my income. The checkout operater is earning while she/he is serving, I should be allowed to earn my income too.

Thoughts?

Same thoughts as always, that you're a liar and trying to brag about your life.

Please, like you can't set aside ten minutes to go without a phone call and call the person back. To say that you're business is more important than being rude is so full of shit.

Though I'm surprised anyone would pay you of all people for phone sex.

You're mean.

I did not mention my income amount - I just said I do most of my business by phone. If I had said an amount, I'd deserve your snark. But I didn't.
Why should I have to hang up on a call that nets me income simply because I'm out buying groceries? Don't I also have the same right as the checkout chick to make a living?

I'm sure they can call you back to place an order for White Power Trash weekly.

Now you're just saying shit for the sake of it.
I feel sorry for you..... your life must be quite dull for you to descend down to this level.

To the level of poking sticks at a vile racist cunt such as yourself, who thinks you're so goddamn important that you have to be rude?

Yeah, I have time for that. I mean this reply took me all of 30 seconds, and I'm having a laugh at your expense.

:)

I was referring to the fact that you say stupid shit without actually having any idea what I do!
And you somehow think that makes you appear smart?!
My pity is obviously not misplaced

Sigh.

Again, it doesn't matter what you do. You're on their property, and if the call can't wait, then you either can't use the store, or someone else has to go.

It's the classic WQ syndrome, you're above everyone else no matter the topic.

Oh, you had zero stretch marks when you gave birth? Guess what, I had negative one.

Now, tell me again, who is the one who has problem with comprehension? Thought so.

OMFG. It's like you're talking about yourself.

OMFG. It's like you're posing as a female online when you're really a dude.

Sometimes it's difficult to see in ourselves those flaws that drive us crazy when we see them in someone else. Know what I mean?

Of course you don't.

Overlooking the disagreements here, if I were a cashier, I would love to tell someone who can disregard common social behavior to blabber into a small box that they can not have what they think they have the right to at the expense of treating me like an actual human being, no, I might have an orgasm.

Technology is taking away common human respect and social skills. If you cannot go one fucking fifteen minute period without your phone you have bigger problems than "poor customer service" at the check out.

Because it's fucking rude and disrespectful and inconsiderate? Because in order for the "checkout chick" to do her job, she may need to greet you, ask you a question, or in some other way regrettably interact with you? Because hardly no one can multi task as well as they think they can, and you end up holding up the line while you distractedly look for change, or after entering the wrong pin number, etc? Because the people who are in line behind you, waiting while you fumble around and ignore the person working the register, just might not want to hear you blabbering loudly into your cell phone?

Hahaha, see?
I have a stretchmark.
Once again, you show your ignorance.

I'm not above/better than anyone else. I'm just me.
Something you can't possibly comprehend

just because a person is paid to do something, doesn't make it ok to be rude to them. would you walk into your doctor's, point at your bunion and expect him to deal with it while you finish your call? that you do not deem the checkout girl as important doesn't alter the ethics.

me & the kids give ourselves points if the checkout girl/guy is laughing by the time we leave, because a bit of a laugh breaks up a long and tedious shift.

I love you so much right now.

A stretchmark just means you yawned instead of noticing him climaxing. Probably because you were on the phone at the time.

This sounds like when I used to work in tech support and a person would call and then ask if they can put me on hold so they can take an important call. NO, I have other clients to help and cannot tie up a line so you can talk to someone else. I'd flat out tell them this - if they need support I am their important call. If they need to take another call, they can call me back later.

Business or not, if someone calls you while you're doing business with the checkout girl, then politely tell them you will call back later. This is showing courtesy to the checkout girl and everyone else in line.

At least that's how I feel.

In today's business climate, no business owner is going to refuse cash from someone talking on a phone, and cashiers don't make those kinds of rules.
