With the exception of this one, the videos of attacks being shown on the news did not take place in New York.

A Jewish man was assaulted by a gang of 10 thugs, one of whom punched him in the face as they passed each other by.
This is apparently part of a sick new 'game' in which teenagers random select victims and assault them - attempting to
'knock out' in a single blow.
The knockout game has been well-documented in other cities though, including St. Louis. The Voice's sister paper, the
Riverfront Times published an award-winning investigation on the trend there back in 2011, "The Knockout King."

Knockout King: Kids call it a game. Academics call it a bogus trend. Cops call it murder.
City officials have begun to recognize the problem. St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce acknowledges the existence of
Knockout King, based on admissions by five defendants.
The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, too, knows of the violent ritual. "The 'knockout game' is played by a group of
kids who, as outrageous as it sounds, go around with the goal of knocking people out, for apparently no reason," says
Chief Daniel Isom.
In the days after the Nguyen murder, Tower Grove South Alderwoman Jennifer Flowers says, she was told anecdotally of
four knockout-related attacks; Dutchtown Alderman Shane Cohn reports one more.

Yesterday, prosecutors began laying out the case against the now twenty-year-old man whose story brought to light
the violent teen ritual of sucker-punching random pedestrians -- for fun.

Last month, Elex Murphy, the so-called "knockout king" accused of beating a 72-year-old stranger to death in Dutchtown,
was convicted -- two years after the brutal attack.
And last week Murphy was sentenced, the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office said on Friday, with an announcement that
included some excerpts of the dramatic testimony of Yen Nguyen, widow of Hoang Nguyen, the immigrant who died after
the violent assault.

Fox anchors Bill O'Reilly and Greta Van Susteren also did segments on "the knockout game" this week.
The New York Post published an inflammatory editorial - (New Jersey raspberry blown by gsgs)
by Thomas Sowell, a senior fellow at Stanford University's conservative stink tank the Hoover Institution.
Sowell writes, "[A]uthorities in New York seem to have been caught by surprise, even though this knockout game has been played for years
by young black gangs in other cities and other states, against people besides Jews -- the victims being either whites in general or people of
Asian ancestry."
The problem, he concludes, is that the mainstream media has suppressed the story.
The same talking points were regurgitated verbatim on Hannity that day. (An Attempt to make it about reverse racism. *dog whistle alert!*)
