Reagan paved the way for Trump, by making it popular to not give a shit about the poor and disenfranchised. The trouble is, sooner or later most of us are disenfranchised in one way or another. I sure hope America relearns that lesson without a second Great Depression.

It appears that the die has already been cast.

The problem with openly promoting me-first policies in the U.S. is that our deficit spending depends upon international faith and credit. With Trump, we've blown that faith straight to Hell.

Who really "owns" America right now? Unlike Trump's tawdry business history, we can't simply declare bankruptcy, change our company name, and look for another set of suckers to exploit.
