The Proxy Wedding

Proxy marriages used to be common amongst European nobility. They are now legal in several states, usually for members of the armed forces serving overseas.

So I was wondering... if the marriage needs to be consummated, should the proxy do the fucking too?

If so, is the proxy a relative of the missing groom (or missing bride?)

what happens afterwards?

Anyway as far as I know, the proxy is whoever gets nominated by the absent member, so it is possible to see a guy marrying a guy because the bride is elsewhere and picked her brother to stand in. The proxy usually is a family member but doesn't have to be unless the state says.

As for sex, that's one of those nobody talks about it so possible there is, nothing says there wouldn't be. Quite possible it is a given there would be sex, in certain areas anyway, like Alabama it stays in the family after all.

maybe the spouse who wasn't at his or her own wedding arrives home, ready to consummate the deal, the "cheating" spouse confesses, leading to angry sex, makeup sex AND threesome sex.

I don't know, I rather think it would be better a different way, perhaps the proxy is not a family member but the missing spouses lover, she or he is bi and hasn't told their fiance yet. Picks their lover because the lover swears they are gay and the absent partner is marrying a woman or man. So when the missing fiance returns to consummate the marriage they find it has been already and just has to declare their bi nature. Of course the partner already knows and likes it so lots of threesome sex in the future.
