I'd add, "The pantry is full, there's a savory beef stew simmering on the stove and fresh bread in the oven. And I don't have to go anywhere for a couple days." THEN it's pure magic. :)

Okay, so if there are days that you need to leave early or come in late because of an appointment, you don't lose out. That's great! I love hearing that employers are encouraging alternate transportation.

If you want to stop by tomorrow and shovel the driveway, that would be great. ;) No, we don't have steep hills like in the Seattle area, thank goodness. We might have more idiot drivers than you do, but we also have a larger population base. The easiest way to picture it is this - think of all the drivers back there who regularly forget how to drive in the rain....

It's nice, I can also use my pass on nonwork days as well if I want to take the bus to see a game or something. They also have a bike share program and subsidize bike tuneups. But I don't think I'll be taking advantage of that for a while.

I would love to stop by and help with the driveway. But you may need to prep something warm for when I'm done. ;)

*gasping for air after sprint*

Gah! Evening everyone. Got anything strong to drink?

Thanks. I now have Rebecca DeMornay's voice in my head.

That crew could only be working in his dreams - I'm thinking OSHA would have problems with their footwear. ;)

You had that bad a day? *hug*

Not bad, just felt long and nearly got screwed over by the bus. *hugs back* I get Thursday off, but have to come in Friday. How are you doing?

On a random note, did anyone else see Day of the Doctor? I caught some of it and saw the last 20 minutes which gave me chills. And I'm not even a big Dr Who fan! Now I'm Netflixing the Matt Smith episodes.

As for the footwear, they could be steel toed heels. :D

When HM and the cubette left for home while I was stationed in Germany, I drank an entire bottle of good red. Tonight I did it again for no particular reason than that dinner took longer to cook than expected. Let's see . . . twice in 66 years with a break of forty-one years between them. That's about right. I won't do it again for another forty-one years! I fear what tomorrow's head will be like.

As I get older...I need less booze to accomplish its aim. I can imagine that you will be feeling it. Drink a lot of water now, and eat some asprin!

:D

Back in the late 70's I worked on a rig where me and the tool pusher were the only guys there. We had three five woman crews. Not only did they do as good a job as the guys but the rig stayed cleaner and neater.

Their uniforms were nothing like that crew but then again, where the heck do you buy steel toed pumps in any size under 12?

Of course a walk through the locker room during crew change had it's finer points, so to speak.

Fresh coffee in the pot. Good thing I started it before heading outside - half an hour to shovel two driveways and a parking pad. SORE NOW!

Oh fuck - I love that scene...I'm thinking of the one wher she bangs the guy under the bleachers.
Heh, I'm thinking of a different scene. ;)

Oh, yeah, one bottle of wine for one person is less fun as we get older. I did it twice in university and don't plan on doing it again.
