Good morning, Nakeds. Fresh coffee is being brewed now.

I'm just putting this out there... I'm already tired of the snow.

Morning :rose::kiss:

That is one fine outfit you are wearing.

Coffee is good. It is cold and rainy here with some mixed sleet.

We had a nice day. Cold, but clear.
Now guess who's Central Heating is on the blink ?

Thank you for the coffee, anna.

 Ok, this time you said the "s" word and not me. But I an hearing about the bad storm that's making it's way up the Northeast. So do be safe out there. :rose: How's everything otherwise?

TX, how's everything in your neck of the woods?

Well thank you, sir! I put it on just for you. ;)

Cold and clear sounds like here yesterday. I'd be happier without the biting winds, though.

I'm not sure which is worse - central heating going out in the cold, or central air going out on the hottest day of the year. I hope the heat comes on soon, HP.

You're welcome for the coffee, john. The difference between my using the "s" word now and you using it before is that you used it before it actually fell. We've got some of the white stuff on the ground now, so I'm no longer tempting the weather gods.

I hope you have a good day.

The plan is to fit the new radiator tomorrow (ho ho ho).

I issue the following plea:-
Please, nobody upset Gaia or any weather deities for the next 24 hours.
Thank you.
We now return you to our scheduled programme.

Nice! I'm having a baking day tomorrow.

Yeah, the weather deities are upset enough over here. We'll distract them for you, okay? ;)

Looks like I'm getting my new schedule next week, yay! I'll get up at an ungodly hour, but get home at a reasonable time.

Define ungodly. I've been getting up at 04;30 for ten years.

Well, I would have to get up around that time if I want to bus into work. But yeah, my definition of ungodly is probably different than yours. You still on the drill site?

Yeah, I are. Probably through the weekend at least at the rate we're going. This is the most screwed up bunch I've worked with in a while.

You know, I'm glad to see you're sticking with public transit. Well, at least for the time being. :)

Oh, fun. At least there is an end to this particular job in site. *fingers crossed*

LOL, sounds like the people I work with.......except in an office, not a drill site.

I hope to keep sticking with it too. I still prefer on convenience of my car. But if my employer is going to pay the full transit fare and add a commute bonus, that's serious money in my pocket. :D

Hot coffee for anyone who needs/wants it.

I really wish "Winter Wonderland" wasn't tossed about by weather forecasters quite so blithely. Yeah, it's pretty to look at, but when you have to drive (or walk) in it, it really isn't quite that wonderful.

Tx, I think we've all worked with some pretty messed-up people. *hug*

john, if you need to drive a couple times a month, does that have much effect on how they pay? You know, if you have a doctor's appointment or something?

"Winter Wonderland" only works when the snow has just fallen and the sky is cloudless and the air is calm. Then, it's pure magic.

I wonder if Tx's bunch have lost anything else in the hole ?

*shuffles in guided by the heavenly smell of fresh roasted coffee*

Mmm, coffee. Thank you, anna. :rose:

If I drive in, the parking cost is $4-$5 a day out of my paycheck. Plus there's about $2.50 in tolls each way over 520. There's no penalty for taking for not taking transit other than actually having to pay to drive in. I can still hop the bus the next day and use the employer provided bus pass and get the commute bonus. So it's not a major hit to my pay, but I estimate I save about $10 a day not driving. Then add on the commute bonus, and it saves quite a bit over time.

Sorry to hear about your snow. You don't have alot of steep hills there like the Seattle area, right?

I'd add, "The pantry is full, there's a savory beef stew simmering on the stove and fresh bread in the oven. And I don't have to go anywhere for a couple days." THEN it's pure magic. :)

Okay, so if there are days that you need to leave early or come in late because of an appointment, you don't lose out. That's great! I love hearing that employers are encouraging alternate transportation.

If you want to stop by tomorrow and shovel the driveway, that would be great. ;) No, we don't have steep hills like in the Seattle area, thank goodness. We might have more idiot drivers than you do, but we also have a larger population base. The easiest way to picture it is this - think of all the drivers back there who regularly forget how to drive in the rain....

I now have a warmer bathroom. Wonderful; the towels will dry!
Guess what,
The weather has got 7 degrees warmer.
Oh well. . . .
