The person that made this thread is a racist. You are judging a group of people. That is racial discrimination! Also what was supposed to be the outcome of such a thread like this?

In Mecha's defense, his purpose was to present a more succinct and true count of the so-called "members" who voted OVERWHEMINGLY in disfavor of Black people in Bohemian Blue's initial non-public poll thread of the exact same title.

In this thread, "Other" gets the majority vote. Not surprisingly.

As with so many things in this world, when people actually have to put their name next to something to stand for, there is a big difference between the results of doing it like that versus doing it anonymously.

Needless to say, your ire should be directed at Bohemian Blue, not Mecha. Sometimes you have to fight for the respect that ought to be due given.

I choose other. The most consistent racism I see and hear is from first generation immigrants to the US against any other minority group.

That's funny. I see more consistent racism from those who have been inhabiting their country for generations.

We have had different experiences then, I guess. I have been around a lot of different ethnic immigrants and the level of racism OUTWARDLY shown by the immigrants not born here (i should not have said first generation - those would be the FIRST generation born here) against other immigrants and US minorities still surprises me.

Someone told me they thought it was some kind of competitive thing to not be the "bottom" viewed minority???

Can they claim because of their cultural/ethnic heritage that everyone must be discriminating against them? The people that see slights against them in every action are pretty fucking annoying. I'd take an openly racist person over one of those sneaky people who claims (and might actually believe) they are not racist. At least I know who I'm dealing with. I didn't vote. Racism usually doesn't have a specific spectrum. The only common factor seems to be upbringing, fear, and/or hate. Hell, that encompasses just about everyone in some form or another. Me? I discriminate against GI military folk. For some reason I have it stuck in my head that they aren't very intelligent. I know it's not true most of the time. So it's an assumption I have to fight against making.

I think the term is all-encompassing. Judaism/Jewish is often classified as a cultural or religious affiliation (thought to be fair, sometimes as ethno-religious group), yet met with the term "racism."

Speaking of prejudice, this is what usually happens whenever someone says "The people that see slights against them in every action are pretty fucking annoying". It's usually a cover for:

"You act like a nigger."
"Ehm, that's a racial slur, moron. What do you mean by 'act like a nigger'?"
"Racial slur? Quit playing the race card, nigger. Why I bet if you tripped on the sidewalk you'd blame the white man, wouldn't you?"

I dont believe that. Jews are NOT a race, they are a religion, which includes every race.
