Explanation

Those posts are actually hiding code that when viewed in some news readers, like Free Agent, cause multiple windows to start opening in an endless loop, causing the program, and possibly your computer, to crash.

I used to be a regular poster on alt.books.deankoontz, and assholes like these guys started posting crap like that there, with headers like "Just read Lightening" and then when I'd open it, whammo, crashorama. They are currently the plague all over.
